  • i believe this is one of the best deals on a gtx 1060 from asus yet :)

  • What is the difference between the Asus Strix and this model for $350.55 after PENNY5

    • i have no idea apart from the strix being 20-30% cooler and having better overall design and maybe better rgb features :)

    • A lot, the first thing is the clock speeds of the Strix is higher, plus because it’s the OC version, you can also overclock it even higher. Plus the strix has a nice metal backplate, while the one you have linked is not an OC model and does not have the metal backplate, just an exposed PCB (check out photos of each on google you will see). Unless you really want white, you will get an extra couple of frames per second and cooler temps from the Strix. Strix is much better value

  • +1

For anyone looking used you can get a 1070 for a bit more.

I've got this card and it's great, black back plate looks good as well

  • Building a new box, pretty high end. With the rtx 2080 literally hitting the streets as I type this I wonder whether it would be worth just getting something like this to tide over until 2080 prices level out.

    • this is real good for this price

    • The RTX 2080 is a terrible buy, and the prices won't "Level Out". They're set purposely to be extremely high.

If you want a card now then your best bet is a used 1080ti, it's the same speed as an RTX 2080 and much cheaper. If you don't want to go used, there are some very good deals on new ones as well, at around the ~$950 mark.
