$199 @ AddictedToAudio, just price match it at JB HIFI.

Then use discounted JB Hifi gift cards for better discount

      • thanks so much for getting back to me . Aren't these fairly neutral headphones though?

Because I'm a bit of a basshead and am looking for something which has a bit of a kick, do you think these would be okay?

They won't give you an ear massage.. If you're looking for that kind of thing, the Sony Mdr-xb950 and Beats Solo / Beats Studio will give you that sort of experience. At the cost of some fidelity usually

Sony — high bass, cheaper price ($159 from ebay Allphones), very soft earcups, good for noise isolation, but not comfortable for long periods of time

Beats Solo 3 — good for bass heads but it's also very expensive. I'd personally go with Bose QC35 II for it's noise cancelling feature which is very useful when you're commuting or flying.

        • @scrimshaw: thanks so much I actually looked into both beats and sony xb, but all the reviews complained about sound leakage which worries me, because I'll be using my headphones in the office.

Also, whilst Bose seems great , unfortunately I can't afford them :(

Pioneer Bass Head series, SE-MJ751. Closed, with adjustable bass control. Pros: Lightweight and not bulky + you'll feel the earth move with these! Cons: on-ear design and rather tight on my big head. Around $120 (try eBay). Even the smaller, cheaper, more basic MJ711 have fantastic bass output for the price.

    • Thanks so much, which of the ones you have mentioned have the least sound leakage in your opinion ?

Of the two, the MJ711 have less leakage.

Have you had a look at Head-Fi

    • hey man, thanks so much for the suggestion, I already have , but I struggled to find a thread which covered both good bass response and no noise leakage.

        No worries man.

I have a pair of Rock Zircon headphones, the bass is amazing.

Not bad for $12 off eBay, check out a review here AudioBudget

Being an in ear headphone, they don't leak much noise at all.

If you're wanting on ear or over ear, definitely look at closed backs.
