Need a new iPhone 6 Plus or 7 Plus SIM Free with a tax invoice so I can claim deduction as it will be used as a work phone. Any bargains out there? I can’t seem to find anything reasonable.

I will still get my battery replaced by the end of the year for $39, to see me through a couple more years. I agree that a 6S would be much better though.

I've also been keeping an eye on iPhone prices since my father needs a new one. The cheapest I've seen a new 6S is ~$625, although you can get 2nd or refurb cheaper than that. For the price, you can get a much newer android phone which outperforms the 6S in every spec, but if you don't like the android OS then that's probably not an option.
Officeworks having a 6s Plus for $649. Where did you see it for $625?

Don’t really want to be tied into a 24 month contract tbh.
Don't get a 6 Plus, its being discontinued soon and also lacks 3D Touch and the processor's slow (2014-level).
At the minimum get a 6S Plus, it feels like the same thing but there's a thousand improvements which make it much better phone.
Or, if it is a "work phone" you may value having the IP68 waterproofing resistance… in which case, the 7 Plus is a good choice.
You can check eBay, some sellers do provide an invoice that you can use for tax deductions.
