I'm hoping to book a month long trip to the UK (somewhere around 1st - 31st Oct).
Anybody know what the cheapest option would be?
Am I better off booking now or waiting till closer to October?
Best option I can find at the moment is around $2.1k return - will it get any better than this?
Any advice, suggestions, abuse much appreciated :)

Got a flight in October to London, and return in November for $1198.
+1 to the Air Asia option if you can do it significantly cheaper.
If you're after a full service airline, try Etihad, Emirates or Royal Brunei (as suggested by Gabon).
Etihad price was around $1980 for the dates you mentioned but have a play around with the dates and I think you may find them a tad bit cheaper.
Edit: I should mention that Etihad and Emirates fly direct to Manchester rather than going through LHR which is always a bonus in my books.
You could go with Royal Brunei to london and catch a train for less than $1800. But prices seem high - usually there are better deals around especially since October will be a little quieter
