  I was thinking of getting the MX500 (500gb) m.2 drive for $129, but might grab this one instead. Though for my use, which is gaming, I don't think it's worth the extra.

    Because SSD makers know everyone wants 1TB now so they see no need to offer discount.
    Was like this 1-2 years ago for 500-512GB SSDs.

      Apparently they haven't had new stock of 1tb yet but the new stock of 500gb and 512gb came in cheaper from their supplier hence the price cuts

  Damn that's a good price. I paid $276 for a 500GB 960 EVO in Dec17 which was a good price at the time. Flash storage has come down in price a good amount this year.
