Cheap mobile broadband (preferably no contract) with around 500MB-1GB usage p/m?

Does anyone know of where you can get cheap 3G WWAN broadband for around less than $15 p/m?

I don't need a USB stick/MiFi as there is a 3G WWAN modem in my laptop.

Preferably no contract.

I am an NRMA member which qualifies me for Vodafone 12 mth contract. Since they give a "free" USB stick, I was wondering if it could get even cheaper than the $13.50 pm cost ($15 pm - 10%)?

Finally, what is the cheapest plan/deal that Telstra gives for their NextG network? Would like to try it out one day and see if it is so reliable as it claims! :p

    Telstra prepaid $150 for 10gb 365 day expiry!!! Can't go past speed and reception. Just whatever u do stay away from vodafail.

    Stay away from vodafone! they are having difficulties right now with their 3G coverage. Just got an email last week from their CEO "apologizing" for their poor service in the last few months. He says they are continuing to improve infrastructure, but who knows how long that's going to take.

    I live in the brisbane CBD, and my connection is VERY unstable. Cuts out every 5 mins, inconsistent speeds, most of the time it's unbearably slow. There's only one thing worse than no internet, and it's slow internet.
