These are good laptops that have the faulty Sandy Bridge chipset.

If you buy this, you can return it for a full refund when the fixed Sandy Bridge chipsets come out. You can then use your cash to buy a new laptop, or just have enjoyed an 8 week trial…

Harris Technology are naughty as these should have been returned to ASUS….

Delivery was only $9.95 to Hornsby. I suspect NSW metro will be cheapest as that is where it is coming from…

Laptop comes with a bonus mouse, backpack and headset.

      The fixed one isn't released yet so it's not fixed.

      ASUS are offering your choice of a full refund or a replacement - then charging Intel for the cost of it - unlikely to change because it doesn't cost ASUS anything…

        Just because Intel replace a faulty unit doesnt mean there is no cost to ASUS or the store that sold the item. Who pays the costs for the freight, phone calls, staff members time to facilitate the returns etc. I can tell you that Intel are not paying these bills

          True there are some costs particularly to the retailer that arent covered.

          But you might be surprised what ASUS extracts from Intel - don't think ASUS are giving money back from the generosity of their hearts.

    Now that the Rep knows what your intentions are, You will never get your product..
    Checking out and paying for it still does not confirm purchase..
    They might call you n give u the sad news..
    Happened to me twice before..
    Mine was stock availability issue though..
