I think the ability to be used on any surface made this mouse far superior than any other.
There's a button behind the scroll wheel that can be substituted for middle click - that's how I've set mine up.
Yep, I have too - and it's fine.
This is one of the reasons I like this mouse. I prefer that button to the wheel click. This allows better precision for the middle click, whereas using the wheel click sometimes scrolls the page a little.
I also have a MX Master and reconfigured that to match the MX Anywhere.
Didn’t know there’s no scroll click. That’s a pretty big change to get used to.
I didn't realise this before I bought it. At the start I kept clicking on the wheel and it kept changing from the clicking scroll to the smooth scroll.
But I got used to the button behind the wheel to be the middle button.
And I adjust fine when I'm at home using a normal Razer mouse. So you might adjust fine as well.
Can you remap the smooth scroll to middle click?
No. That's the thing some people don't like about it.
Yes BUT INSTEAD the mouse wheel clicks side to side as well.
I dunno why people always mention using the lower button, I think that’s definitely uncomfortable — I mapped a right-ways push to the scroll wheel as my middle button and adapted in 5 minutes easy. Feels even breezier than a traditional wheel click.
Personally could do with a bit more height on this mouse though. Largish for travel compacts but still leaves a hand sore after some hours of use.I did the same, except I mapped the left scroll to middle click. Since all the mice I own are logitech I mapped them all that way. I found even the ones with middle click were too firm, and the left/right scroll is a much easier press
Thought it was the Logitech MX Master 2S for a second.
I have both. If you ever need to take it with you this is a much better option and probably the one that I prefer. This is $63 well spent I promise you that.

Already own a MX Anywhere, however every time I see this mice on OzBargain I'm always tempted to get another. I use mine as a daily at work, and is definitely one of the best mice I've used considering my hands are on the smaller side.

Every time there's a deal for this mouse I spend a while contemplating…but I just can't get behind the fact that there's no scroll-wheel click button and that's the only thing stopping me from pulling the trigger :(
