Rep, do any of your products have electrical safety compliance? You were asked this question on your previous post but was ignored.

Edit - PM #1 from rep:

Sorry, i don't know how to reply customer's answers at first time. We don't have AU certification now. But please don't worry, our product's quality is very good, we sell them to many countries and they all love it.

You can use it in Australia, some Australia's customers had ordered them.

OP, it's not really a question of if people "love it" or not. Without compliance my insurance company may choose to not pay out if my house burns down and they decide to blame non compliant electrical devices.

      • this x10 if I were to use these at my shop insurance wouldnt cover me in case of claim.

I had a friend who was an ER nurse. She told some stories about people that love light bulbs…

        • +2

Why is your friend telling you confidential information about ME?

Needs to meet either CISPR 15 or EN55015

I've just received the following from the OP Luminosum:

"Sorry, we don;t have those bulbs."

Which I assume means he doesn't have an understanding of standards, compliance or certification, because I didn't enquire about bulbs.

You can buy similar T8 1200mm LED tubes at any number of reputable bricks and mortar suppliers for similar money.

      Bunnings do a 2 pack for <$30.
AGM Electrical in Sydney are ~$13.20 each
Revolution Lighting do a Verbatim branded tube for $11.95 or Verbatim with motion sensor for $30 (great for low traffic applications where you would normally be on 24/7)

Note that any of these "just replace the tube and starter" deals only work with the older magnetic ballasts and not with the newer electronic ballasts.
The magnetic ballasts still draw 7-11 watts and you'll get greater savings if you bypass the ballast.
For newer electronic ballasts (you can tell as they don't have starters) you need to bypass the ballast.

If your batten assembly is more than 15 years old then you might be better off simply changing the whole assembly as the wires and joints do get brittle with age. They can be bought with LED tubes for <$40. Even IP65 rated are <$45

  • just had a new house built, so how likely these can just pop in to replace flouro> and how do i check if they will fit, gather best option is to buy from bunnings and return if dont work?

    • Bunnings would be better. Certified. Easy returns. Only a dollar or two in it. If it's a relatively new batten then it should be an electronic ballast (no starter in the housing) and you'll need to rewire to make it work.

Is the light hardwired in or does it plug into a surface socket?
