  • Only new items for eBay plus, it's probably cheaper to buy used.

Had been monitoring mid-range graphic card prices lately, so if eBay plus sellers don't price jack/adjust for price wars, the following will be the lowest prices (incl delivery) of the specified GPU during the sale:

    RX570 4GB: https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/192658723374
    $194.65 staticice

    RX580 4GB: https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/362361146199
    $267.75 staticice

    GTX 1060 3GB: https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/292474363326
    $256.62 staticice

    GTX 1060 6GB:
    https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/253254666920
    $339.92 staticice

    • RX570 8GB: eBay listings are absurdly high priced (likely due to not many options/stocks). Cheapest on staticice is from PCCG, but absurdly more expensive than RX580 or similarly priced.

RX580 8GB: Quite several options of cards, Biostar from $296.65, $322.15 for MSI Armor, Gigabyte Aorus, ASUS Strix or Sapphire Radeon NITRO+ Super OC Special Edition (https://www.ebay.com.au/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_nkw=RX+580+8gb…)

Oh, and if you were able to get 10% off eBay gift cards via the earlier eBay UK deal, then they'll effectively be 10% cheaper if you pay with those gift cards.

  • The items I'm waiting to pick up don't have eBay plus status, disappointed, would have preferred for eBay plus members

  • +2

some ebay plus sellers already jacked their prices in preparation… -_-

  • -1

    Thanks TS!

  • any cheap Apple Watch Series 3?

  • -2

    include Gift cards?

  • If I click buy now and try to pay tomorrow would I be able to use the voucher? Can they increase the value of the product if I already clicked buy it now?

    • If you click 'buy it now' do they make you pay immediately? I know if I just click 'add to cart' the price can change up until I checkout.

Finally a deal to tell me plus was worth $29

  • Just bought a dishwasher from TheGoodGuys (ebay store) and got delivered today at 10% off. Is there a way I can have the difference refunded!??

    • +2

      No

      • +2

GG price protection doesn't cover it, which is probably illegal (violates their own T&C if you ask me.. because the clause that states they don't price protect eBay should be invalid when the invoice has the same ABN on it as an actual store).

Any good deal for a new unused iphone 8 64gb?

    • +16
      1. Go to ebay.com.au
      2. Type in iPhone 8 64GB
      3. Filter to only show eBay plus items
      4. Look for yourself
      • I did that and the sellers that come up don’t instill confidence in me that they are selling genuine stuff. Looking for someone having a good experience with buying an iphone off ebay?

  • -1

    Aww it coulda been PLUSARSE

  • Looks like this code isn't ready yet. Please try again later.

Anyone know when codes usually turn on?

    • From 17 Sep 10:00am

(from under the "tag"s, which is under the row of "Share Page" icons)

      • And also in the title…

        <MOD: Language>

        Thanks for the response.

Lol, take deep breaths, it's okay! It's just our body's way of telling us we should be resting instead haha.

          Cheers.

Hey so should I have a computer build waiting in my cart hoping for the 15% discount, should I hold out until the birthday sale? Or do you guys think this is the best I could expect for a while?

    • Definitely hold out.

    • +1

What'll be your build HAT? Just curious a I am about to do one myself. Tossing up waiting for i7 9700 and RTX2070 or going Ryzen 2700x and RX580. Seems a little like PC components are going to get very competitive soon.

      • Found a 1070 for $460, so that's on its way plus I'm looking to get a ryzen 2600, 16gb ram, yada yada. Nothing fancy really

  • +1

For those that'll want to snipe for an iPhone X lol
    https://www.ebay.com.au/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_nkw=iphone+x&_…
(It'll most likely reach the max cap of $200 off)

I think its the time I buy the xiaomi gen 1 robot vaccum.

Computer Alliance is ebay plus, based in Mt gravatt. I bought Logitech h800 headset frim them couple of weeks back as a present as I love them - I use in car as I hate talking to people using handsfree built ins that pick up the background noise, and when out walking can talk without the wind interference as much. They are so much cheaper for that item than anyone else on eBay so maybe check out their store for something.

Also I just bought a second new SE iPhone from deal_aussie yesterday for the 10%. It gets shipped from overseas but as says au melbourne has ebay plus and 6 mth warranty. Both phones as presents. 1 for my 83 yr old dad who’s iph5s died and he does NOT want a bigger size bringing it to him in Ireland in 2 wks - and the 1st was a thank you present for 77 yr old father of a friend who had a iPhone 4s who also would NOT have wanted bigger. Very happy with new ph for the same or cheaper price others quoted on refurbished .

Prob not items many here would use but just passing along as FYI and maybe their stores sell something you want.

  • Does anyone know if I make an offer on an ebay plus item and it is accepted whether I can still checkout and apply the discount?

    • +2

As long as you pay within the promotion period then it's fine.

  • great!!! a whole 5% off for inrernational order

    • You can blame your government for that. as well as gerry harvey

  • No one posting any plus deals from this offer yet….

  • Bought the nvidia shield $203.15

  • Any dyson deals from trustworthy stores?

  • Is that mean all items marked with eBay Plus free shipping are eligible?

  • I think eBay has taken off some item from eBay plus, I searched a Samsung QLED monitor 32'' yesterday, and it was eBay plus item but now not. MSY as well.

  • Do you have to be an existing Plus member, or can you join now?

    • Join now. Free month, cancel before trial runs out if you want. Otherwise $49, $20 ebay gift card

      • Is it possible to get free trials on multiple accounts or will ebay recognise this?

        • +1

i'm on my second free trial. but both accounts were created many years apart.

I read a story in the news a few days ago which included the following comments from ebay :

“All sellers who take part in our retail promotions are subject to contractual terms and conditions that prohibit the inflation of pricing to take advantage of discounts,” they said.

“We will continue to enforce these as part of our ongoing commitment to ensuring genuine value is offered by our sellers.

First thing I look at today is an iPhone 8 Plus 256GB from my-phonez and no surprise that they are listing the price as $1699 whereas the price listed on the Apple website is $1399.

Clearly eBay insisting that they take breaches of their seller rules seriously is rubbish (as we all know).

    • And further to this, I tried to do a Report Item on that phone and I was not able to find any of the reasons in the menu that were appropriate. No option to write a description for the problem either. eBay claim publically to enforce a policy against price-jacking in sales but actually protect the practice by excluding it as a reportable option (on the Report Item link of any listing).

    • just posted below about that too.

I refreshed the page listing for a phone and it went from $1499 to $1569….just at a click of the button

    • Is $1699 the old (pre-last Thursday) price?

      • No, don't believe so. I just found the price at the 2017 release on the iPhone 8 Plus 256GB and it was $1479. I don't think there was any change during the year.

    • shouldnt we report them to AAAC?

  • Looking for IPhone 6S. Am getting error "This code can't be applied to your order." for this item.

    https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/NEW-Apple-iPhone-6s-Grey-Silver-…

    • tried…worked fine. You sure you are an ebayplus member?

    • I will not purchase this "New unsealed" iphone again as i got refurbished iphone 6s twice (in sealed box) and the problems came 6-12months. The seller didnt even bother to reply me. Since passed 6 months, paypal, bank and ebay refused to help. Anyway, just letting you know the risk.

  • +1

Cheers - picked up a pulley kit & belt for my car… saved $40 ;)

    • hey, which site did you use?

  • And just like that eBay got another $1180 ($1389) off me… I think I have a shopping problem. I need help avoiding ozbargain.

  • How funny. I'm with my nephew looking at an iphone x and decided on this one by yourphone

    https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Apple-iPhone-X-256GB-Space-Grey-…

Listed at $1499. Decided to refresh page before buying and price went up to $1569!!!

    Gotta love these ebay stores

    • Get in quick before the changes and you can stick it to them.

      They just greedy!

    Bought a new tent.

Can't wait to go camping! <3

  • Can anyone recommend a good kettle?

I was looking at both Myer and Kitchen Warehouse due to their current 20% off sales / vouchers, but would like to take advantage of this sale if there are better deals out there.

    • +1

Amazon AU was having a sale on Sunbeam kettles, they were the glass or stainless steel type with auto pop up kids. Worth a look.

      • +1

Cheers for the tip; I ended up taking a chance on the Sunbeam Short Pot for $34.72, as the other one (Sunbeam Maestro Kettle Quiet Shield) had really poor reviews on some other sites, manly due to issues with noise.

        • McMoots
Where did you buy it from Sunbeam Short Pot?
          Thanks

        • @coolstan: G'day!

I bought it from Amazon on a Lightning Deal promotion, which unfortunately only run for about 6 hours at a time, so it's back to the normal price of $51.64 delivered with Amazon Prime.

It's due to arrive tomorrow (Thursday), so hopefully it was worth the gamble.

    • +1

I'm sticking to breville kettles, last one worked for 8 years, now got one with temperature control, happy so far

      • I've never owned any Breville products, but from what you are saying they sound quite good.

Will definitely consider trying them out when looking for my next appliance, cheers.

  • +2

    F U eBay!
It appears, more than half of items that were originally plus items are no longer. I am sure that like most people, I only signed up because particular sellers I buy from, had many Plus listings that are no longer plus.

  • Thanks TA. Got an IPHONE8 256 GB gold for $799 for missus

    • Which store?

      • Aus-Depot. Here is the listing

        • I've been tasked with buying an iPhone for my other half too.

So, essentially from what I can tell, these devices are "new" but they are grey stock? Anyone know if there is much risk these days> I assume you are relying on the seller to provide the warranty as Apple Australia won't touch it?

I had a bad experience with a Kogan 5c a few years ago that has put me off grey imports…

        • @apu: I believe Apple will provide warranty for first year but not for second year for overseas stock

      • The listing I bought from is not available anymore. I think the guy sold out of brand new devices and now selling refurbished at the same price

    Any ipad deals?

  • Anyone else getting this error?

Discount/Redemption codes can't be used with the payment option you selected.

This isn't working for me. I have an order totaling $75.46. But I get the error "We can't apply this code until you reach the minimum order total."

2nd edit: Had to contact chat support. They are generating a one time 15% off code for me. At least ebay plus gives you decent support I guess lol.

    • I have the same problem, have yet to contact eBay

  • If anyone happens to want to buy a new skateboard/longboard and is an eBay Plus member, a shop called Skate Connection has a 20% off sale and the 15% off code stacks with this as well. I managed to grab a Landyachtz Dinghy for $163 delivered.
