Get ready to be attacked by SJW's. I will personally throw eggs at them. Cheaper the better.

    • Thanks ok, i usually buy caged eggs too, since IMHO most "free range" chooks aren't much, if any better treated then caged chooks here in Oz.

But I'm happy to pay 3c/egg extra for it.

If you're concerned you can follow the RSPCA's guidelines which say that anything less than 1500 choocks per hectare is good. It's doesn't take much effort to research but you definitely will pay a premium for doing the right thing.

There is "free range" according to the egg industry standard which is very watered down, and then there's free range according to free range farms as to what it should be (should be no more than 1500 chickens/hectare on an outdoor range)

    Farm Pride

    Gay chickens?

    • Or gay farmers? Not that there's anything wrong with that

      • +1

Of course there isn't anything wrong with farming.

Neither, From their website: We’re Farm Pride. And as our name suggests, we take great pride in our eggs. From farm to table, we’ve been fiercely hands-on for over 80 years. Put simply, eggs are our life. And with our hens laying over 8 million eggs per week, we’re kept rather busy.
