How much was it before?
0.92%.
Tbh you would probably save a lot more if you book your own flights and hotels rather than going through agents.
Just ask for a price beat and then there are no credit card fees. Flight Centre is quite expensive anyways so it won't be that hard to find a cheaper price online
How is a credit card surcharge considered a bargain, regardless of the %?
Book via American Express travel, no surcharge, as an example….
Flight centre and bargain do not belong in the same sentence.
What a ridiculous “deal” this is lol
Buy gift cards via the new website that offers gift cards and get a 2.5 Percent discount.
No bargain described
Not a deal. Business practice.
How is this possibly a deal??? It's still 0.92%
Also flight Centre isn't a bargain but that's beside the point.
Eh?!
How is a surcharge a deal?
Sorry mate
zero surcharge at Coles.
No deal
Do they take JCB or Discover card?
Wait until flight centre gc at supermarket is on sale
No credit card fees
Plus 5 to 10% off
Win win until you have to deal with fc staff and their dodgy surcharges and deceptive behaviour
It’s been while , also they do carry some activation charges. On top of that one loose free insurance cover that we generally gets when pay by credit card
Get a deal from an aussie company and get Flightcentre to match it. What’s the advantage? Having a person to speak to when everything goes wrong. We booked a flight via FC to Japan this year and our little one was admitted to hospital on the day of our flight. Try calling any of the online flightbooking services to get help and see how that would have eventuated. With FC we not just got some money back from the original flight and booked on a different airline 3 days later but got the whole drama in writing from my brilliant agent whom we then got a full insurance refund on the new flights and loss of accommodation after we return from the trip.
Most people either get complementary travel insurance through their bank or have it added on with their insurance company.
I see below benefits
1: price beat by $1
2: supporting local jobs ( invariably)
3: access to person or human in case of emergency rather then waiting for reply over email
I don’t see many travel operators charging less then 1% for AMEX, this posted it as a deal.
This is cheaper then paying by PayPal
Charging a surcharge for using PayPal is against their terms and conditions. You should report these sellers to PayPal if you find them
Wrong. This changed under the RBA's new surcharge guidelines.

Oh! Thanks for the correction, I didn't know that but I guess it makes sense
Yes but there deals are not cheap enough. Having said company itself is very cheap for its employees.
