    hard-sell at that price v_v

  • FYI: You don't have to put the coupon code in the title.

  • Any PSVR2 deals? I want to play GT Sport in VR.

    • +1

It's not worth buying for GT Sport. I have one, I have GT Sport as well, trust me.

      • But if you have a pc the psvr outputs so much better from there than from the pspro and half the price of a vive if you can be bothered configuring. I have done and tried this (I have PSPro, PSVRv2 and i7 1070Gtx PC). Works like a charm using TrinusPSVR. You get a 2-in-1 VR unit in the end. Well worth it imo.

Not that we're in the topic of comparing but I've gone this far so I might aswell mention that the psvr runs at 120fps vs I believe 90fps on the vive. Sure it also runs a lower res but the framerate sure makes a more noticeable difference to the screen door effect.

And surely can't lose anything if you already have it… (using it this way should not void any warranties as you are simply plugging into pc and using software, no hard modification to the unit required).

Only catch is that you'll need a PS3 eye camera (as it has a usb interface not the proprietary plug on the v2 camera) - these can be had for $4 from EB preowned (will cost you way more trying to get them anywhere else).

The Fortnite DLC code is worth $60-$80 on eBay. Makes for a very cheap console.

    • +2

Do people really pay $60-$80 for skins (I assume the "500 V Bucks" are also to buy skins)?

      • +1

Some people would buy a Galaxy Note 9 just for a skin :)

        • +1

          I guess so ;D

      • +7

I'm afraid so. I bought one from Amazon last week, when I opened it there was no code at all even though the box was sealed and definitely a Fortnite branded box saying it was in there. I contacted Amazon and they offered a refund and return but I need the Pro so they then asked me the value of the missing DLC. I told them it was $80-$100 and they immediately offered me $80 refund which I accepted. Worked out $430 for a new Pro after $30 cashback from cashrewards.

        • +1

Wow that's crazy hahah I'll keep that in mind if I ever get a PS4 with Fortnite DLC.

      • They do, someone bought mine for $70 within an hour of putting it up on eBay

        • Well, if I ever get one it's going straight on ebay!

      • Well, now its looking like higher supply and lower demand is bringing down the price a bit. Someone just put their code up for $25 (buy it now) on Ebay. So its probably best not to count on getting $70-80 when you get the Pro.

    • My friend sold it for $90 2 weeks ago

      • Yeah others were making $100+ a few weeks ago also. Now it's making $60-$80.

  • Thank you

  • +7

I could not forgive myself if I bought this when I remember that it was $379 on Amazon.
    Never forget.

    • +1

      つ ◕◕ ༽つGIVE PRO $379 ༼ つ ◕◕ ༽つ".

    • So did you miss out the Amazon deal?

    • Still kinda kicking myself that I bought prior to seeing that deal, thinking that $450 was the best it would get to for a long while to come.

    • I was in the same boat, but it was my sons bday. Paid 493 with 5% code and my son was playing it last night.

  • Selling code will drop it to around $380, not bad.

    • +1

wouldnt that just bring the price down of the amazon sale one to 300? lol

      • +1

That's once a year deal and sold out very quickly.

    • Who says selling skin is guaranteed to get you $80?

      • +1

I believe Fancydancer said that one mate ;)

      • Personal experience

  • Yea not a great price especially if you're not in a hurry, the Amazon deal a few months back smashes this

  • Anyone know which firmware this comes with? 5.50?

    • Just out of curiosity, why do you ask?

      • +2

PS4 firmware version is very important to people hoping to ever run homebrew on their consoles. Google it.

      • I haven't owned a console since the PSP/XBOX360 but firmware is crucial mate..

    • Guessing 5.0? Can get 6.0 this month

    • Im fairly certain that the consoles with the included fortnite DLC have 5.50 (or higher), meaning that it wont be possible to run the exploit currently.

  • Hey I just realised I never received my fortnite DLC from the last deal, mine was just a standard ps4 pro with far cry 5, did this happen to anyone else?

    • Which deal did you buy it from?

      • Gamesmen eBay $450

        • if it wasn't specifically the fortnite bundle, then you weren't supposed to receive it.

  • My mate got $50 for the fortnight code.. so yeah they sell

  • Out of topic but I was able to get a pro for 450 last month with a low firmware. While asking different sellers, target told me there pros were also on 5.05. Just a tip, if anyone was looking for a low firmware pro. But still need to confirm with the seller.

    • -1

Any tips on where to get one of those now without paying ridiculous prices? After all 5.5x is strongly rumored to be exploited soon (likely within the next 1 month). So investing too much to get a 5.05 at this point is ill advised right now in my opinion.

      • I just checked target's ebay and seems like they are not selling any ps4 console. They had 5.05 pro console till last month. I contacted them and asked about firmware version at that time and they got back to me after 2 days. I am not sure about any other seller atm.

  • I'd buy this but then i'd have a ps4 pro with fortnite clowns on the box.

    No sale.

    • +1

You'll be a happy to know that it's just a sleeve around the regular PS4 Pro box so no excuses now.

      • -1
        • If you listen really, really closely you'll notice the accent of the the YouTuber is different to those that surround you on this island. The YouTuber lives in a faraway land where things are different.
Here it is just a sleeve around the regular PS4 Pro box. I'm not going to go into the attic to get photos of the box now because tbh I think you're full of hot air but you could ask around or even call a store if you really wanted to know and it really bothered you.

        • +1

          @Where's_That_Cake:

It's all good, i bought one, received it and very happy to see i can chuck the fortnite sleeve lol.

  • Absolutely loving mine from the Amazon deal. So much so that I might say goodbye to PC gaming. Literally just learnt today that GTA Vice has the Rockstar editor. I was waiting to upgrade my PC for that.

  • Probably about to buy this, will the Fortnite skin appreciate in value? I'm hoping they won't release it and people will fork out much more than $80.

    • +3

Don't take the risk, $80 is already crazy.

      • I bought it, will reevaluate when it arrives. Who knows, EPIC might choose not to release it in their store causing the price to balloon. They could also just as easily release it one weekend and and make the code useless.

  • I borrowed a mates PS4 Pro and his PSVR for a month while he was overseas for work.

I was quite impressed. The PSVR is a great head set for sit down games such as wipeout or battle tanks etc.

I quite enjoyed (non VR) horizon zero dawn on a 75" 4k with HDR as well :)

    • I'm still on 1080p but noticed a massive difference in the PSVR experience for Resident Evil 7 with the Pro, most of the blurriness is gone and it's much more effective. I might hold off on playing the rest of HZD until I get a new telly, that game looks fantastic.

  • sold the code previously for $80

    • where did you sell it?

      • I bought it during the amazon sale. I sold it on Gumtree

      • Ebay was where I sold mine, sent a picture. No problems - about $82 after fees.

        • I still have the code from Amazon. Is it earlier version compared to this deal. Can I still sell it for 60-80$?

        • @roonaqdai: Yes, if it comes with the Blue Bomber skin you'll make that amount.

        • @Where's_That_Cake: Oh yeah thanks for confirming. Just checked on my Amazon deal box, it says blue bomber + 500Vbucks, so the content to download came with it would include though. LOL. If I am able to sell that at $60, the console alone will effectively be priced at 290 after cashrewards.

        • @roonaqdai: Nice

        • @roonaqdai: hey bro if you are selling the code I’ll buy it for $60

        • @bradnel: check your inbox

    • Did they pick it up or did you send pic of code after they paid online?

  • Anyone had any luck price matching with EB or JB?

  • Pulled the trigger on this. Wanted a Pro for Red Dead Redemption 2 and Assassins Creed Odyssey. Will sell the Fortnite code and sell my old PS3 with 15 games hopefully for $150.

  • I'll wait for a better deal, many games coming out in the next 15 weeks.

    • A better deal than a sub $400 PS4 Pro? Unlikely to happen again. Amazon don't do Prime Day every week, possibly Black Friday but nothing certain.

  • The Fortnite code dlc can be used as a cashback if you can sell it, which is highly likely because thats what i did and i haven't owned a console since ps2, so I wanted to play exclusives now. Its a good deal IF you need to have a PS4 NOW. But when it get closer to Christmas probably prices wont go down.

EDIT:They have just jacked up the price because of 10% code its not worth it now

  • Is anyone selling the dlc code for fortnite ?

    • I've got one I need to offload
