Recommendations on a Side by Side Pram/ Stroller

Hi team,

I have a 2 year old and am expecting a second one soon.

The netter half wants to buy a double pram/ stroller. We've decided to get a side by side (the tandem vs side by side discussion can be had another day plz) and have whittled it down to the following three.

Any thoughts or recommendations on them (or similar ones) would be welcome. Key criteria we are keen to assess are weight/ maneuverability/ ease of opening/ closing. The price differential between the cheapest/ most expensive isn't too big a concern.

Danke

Have you think about getting a vee bee ez rider for your 2 years old? As he might not like being strapped at this age?

You should go for the cheaper pram as you gonna find out your wife and you gonna used it only casually as it would be too big, not going through doors, first one don t want to sit but walk,…

side by sides suck, they're huge and a pain the ass to navigate… get the one with the front and back ones

    • ^ very unpractical, as a example, try go shopping in chemist warehouse :)

    • Sorry OP I have to agree with this. We tried 1 for a bit and it was just big and bulky and difficult to drive.

Baby Jogger City Select ftw 😉

Never take a side by side to the supermarket. It infuriates the most placid of people.

    https://www.redsbaby.com.au look no further.

  • Check out the Joovy Caboose

  • Bugaboo Donkey was the best we looked at based on your criteria of weight, ease of fold and easy to manouver. Also higher resale value and you can configure as just 1 seat with side basket too. In the end though we went with an Uppababy Vista tandem. Why? Well hubby measured the width of the Bugaboo which is one of the narrowest on the market and found it would not fit though many doors including our apartment and favourite cafe!

Next thread: Help. Need SUV suggestions to fit my monstrous pram.

  • Don’t bother, we had a 2yo when our 2nd arrived and survived with a single pram. You won’t need it for long as they grow.
