      game pass only gets used during school holidays so if you got to keep the racing games that is great and but otherwise we just renew during school holidays and they often have the cheap month offer.

      we have gold for 12mths though …

    Do you know what happens if you own the disc (I have FH3 and F7 on disc) when you redeem the code. Does it just use the existing install files and you no longer have to insert the disc or does it need to download it all new again? The latter would be stupid so I'm sure that's not the case but was just wanting to check. Was looking at buying FH4 anyway but that added convenience of having FH3 and F7 with no disc would be great which I'm yet to finish (damn Destiny), plus Game Pass on top for future releases.

      It uses the same files. When you use a disk game, it installs the exact same as if you bought it online. It’s just that in order to start the game, you need the disk to authorize your account. Getting game pass will mean you no longer need the disk for as long as the subscription is active.

      It will trigger an automatic download, but just cancel it and you'll be able to boot it up from My Games & Apps like you would any other digital title. That's how it worked with Project CARS for me when it went Games with Gold like a year ago.

          Forza Horizon 4 will be in GamePass though.

          @Garagesale: Okay, in that case, that could happen because Microsoft keep adding games I own to GamePass.

          Gears 4, Sunset Overdrive, Rise of the Tomb Raider, Forza Horizon 2, Hitman Series 1, Quantum Break etc…

          Given that I own both Forza Horizon 3 and Forza 7, the odds are they will be added. FH3, probably not right away, given FH2 just got added recently. It does feel like they will be added. Quantum Break and RoTR were heavily discounted prior to being added (so I bought them and then within weeks, added to GamePass).

        I found that the automatic download was in the Queue but checked the existing files when it got to the download and then completed the download without re-downloading anything. That is, seems you don’t even need to cancel the automatic download.

          If you mean stacking an existing GP sub, then yes, I can confirm that it works. I have now stacked around 2 years and I understand that you can stack up to 3.

    Also, if you have not used the free 14 day trial, just order the 14 day trial first before purchasing, which can be done straight after. The 12 months stacks onto your trial. Almost 4% saving!

    Has anyone received the bonus game codes? just bought the 12 months game pass. just wondering how long the two game codes can arrive so I can put. them on gumtree. I have alrady had both horizon 3 and forza 7 so will sell both codes to reduce the XGP yearly cost down to around 70 dollars which is a pretty good price considering you will have forza 4 and other new Microsoft games for a year.

    Also keep in mind if you don't want to be charged 130＋ dollars after one year, you need to manually switch off the auto renew function fron your xbox account.

    I contacted the Xbox ANZ Facebook page, and got this response: “Thanks for getting in touch! The best people to help out would be our support team - you can reach them at support.xbox.com/en-AU/ or by calling 1800 555 741.”

    I called Xbox support and they told me that the codes will be sent no later than 21 October.

    I don’t understand why it should take any time at all.
