Presumably part of the target gaming clearance. They had a price tag for $20 for pink Wii Remote Plus controllers. Got them to scan the blue ones and they also come up at $20. The 'themed' ones (eg. Princess Peach, Yoshi, etc) still scan up at $59.
Works on both the Wii and the Wii U.
Getting a cheap wii is the easy part. Getting cheap genuine controllers is the hard part.
Why does it matter if it's genuine?
The waggle stuff is often sh*t in the 3rd party ones.
3rd party Wii controllers are insanely inaccurate.

Normally yes - right now I'm ~400km away, in the seaside city of Burnie, where the local Target happens to have half a dozen of these blue Wiimotes.
I didn't come to Burnie for the bargains, but that's what I found…
It's been a while since Target's got any new stock of Wii Controllers, so good luck finding those anywhere near you.

Not a bad price for a genuine controller. Remember the good old days when you could get one for 2 cents.
When the wii was first released there was a massive wii controller shortage and people were paying over $150 for a controller.
I wonder how many of them were ozbargainers?

My local Target store is soon closing its doors. Walked in today after forgetting about this deal. Barely any electronics left, yet they had 3 of these controllers left (blue & pink), so I grabbed 1 of each colour. My win for the day.
not sure man, you could get second hand wiis with remotes for around $20 if you dont care at this point in time.
