HP Pavilion X360 2018 Edition? Anyone Used One?

Hi guys,

Have any of you purchased or played with a current HP Pavillion (or even an older one)?

I am in the market for a new laptop and I am tossing up between one of these or a Yoga 530 - in fact, I was about to buy the latter only to enter HN to find the sale had ended.

The HP is a fairly modest but decent specced machine - 8gb, i5, 1tb hdd with 128ssd.

I can't seem to find a singular damn review on the thing. HN is currently selling what I assume is the most recent model for $1088, while other retailers are selling similar models for a comparable price.

Interesting to note is that only the HN model has an angular kind of aesthetic touch within which the keyboard is set.

Any advice or experience with one of these products would be greatly appreciated.

    The first place I look is usually Notebook check, see and look for their recommendations on similarly priced (and similar type) of notebooks.

    Well I'm not looking for a gaming machine or anything. I will be predominately using it for basic office tasks and web browsing, but I wouldn't mind doing some slightly more taxing tasks like Photoshop and whatnot.

      don't use photoshop but it's powerful enough for office/movies/some games
      drawbacks is: kind of heavy and is loud as hell especially in the summer
      battery isn't too great, 4-5 hours i think
      build quality is great for the price though, keyboard has nice springback when you type and hinge is very durable
      battery replacement will be difficult, the pavilion has like 25+ versions of it and you need the specific battery model
      overall: good mid-ranged/budget ultrabook, very dependable but doesn't stand up well to other laptops in the price range. I'd would wait for the Yoga again or look into the higher tier HP Spectre or a xiaomi air

      try searching for "pavilion" (one 'l') that might be why you couldn't find any reviews
