Do you know a good deal of a car rental company located in Cairns? Been checking websites of the major ones and all their specials and weekend deals and coupons etc etc are just confusing, especially as there are so many extra charges at the end (admin, "rego recovery fee" and so on)

also checkout http://www.britz.com.au/car-hire-australia . the good thing about them is normally you get unlimited kms and no excess without paying anything extra.
Found a great deal - after hours of searching and trying… signed up for an Entertainement Card membership and used their promotion with Budget: 5% off regular rental PLUS rent 3 days over a weekend, get one of them free. And the 5% are actually valid on top of their special prices! (Not like thrifty or avis, where the discount doesn't work with already special offers and only comes off from a much more expensive quote.)
All together I was able to book an Intermediate class car for 3days (3x24hrs!) for around $100. I think that's cheap, including all fees like rego recovery fee (what in hell's name…) or admin fee. A smaller car would have been around $85, if I remember right.
