Amazon Global, Says an Available Option but It Isn't, USA Site Poor Design or?

Am trying to purchase an "Instapark Battery Operated Sprayer Hand Bottle for Gardening, Fertilizing, Cleaning & Multi-Purpose Use Spraying 1-Liter" from Amazon USA as there is no product that is anywhere close at the price (and function?) that I can find in Oz.

On the Amazon USA site it says

This item ships to Australia. Want it Thursday, Sept. 13? Order within 12 hrs 10 mins and choose AmazonGlobal Priority Shipping at checkout

But at checkout as soon as it sees an Oz address I get posting to Oz "only for digital items"…so is this a poor page design on the USA page or am I missing some way to get this sent?

Have asked Amazon but rep said had to escalate so I thought I'd ask here as well.

  As far as I'm aware if you are on amazon.com you are unable to have the items shipped to Australia, they still haven't fixed the item descriptions which say they are eligible. The only way is to find the same product on amazon.com.au where they will also charge you GST, however I can't see that product on the Amazon Australia website.

    It sucks because I'm happy to pay the GST on the items but they fail to list most items sold by Amazon US, which used to be available for international shipping, on Amazon Australia. The other issue is that once an item is available from the Amazon Australia warehouse they delist the Amazon US option which is almost always cheaper.

      you're happy to pay GST, but they dont want you buying from international site, they want to force you on to the AU site. The issue is not GST, this trillion dollar company could code in +10% and remitt to ATO if they wanted to.

  The other issue is that once an item is available from the Amazon Australia warehouse they delist the Amazon US option which is almost always cheaper. not seen any reference to that trick before!!

    Damn, missed that, did look. It is roughly 40% (off the top of my head) more expensive but after the slug from a freight forwarder, to actually get it from Amazon, that difference would probably be slashed.
