Recommended 1.75mm PLA Filament for Ender 3

Hey,

When I ordered my Ender 3 I ordered a bunch of 10m packs of filament from Kingroon to see if it was any good before ordering more.

It turns out the Kingroon filaments worked great but they end up being close to $50 a roll from Aliexpress.

I purchased some $20 1KG rolls from ebay and while they do ok they really don't want to stick to the bed. I have sorted of worked that out with hairspray and using rafts but it'd be nice to find a better quality one.

Any suggestions?

Thanks!

  • i used Esun PLA+ which is around $30 delivered from cubetech (melbourne) via ebay

You can buy it from their own online store, but for 1 roll at a time it's cheaper via ebay.

I'm not sure if it's my Ender, but it needs much higher heat to get a good flow on.

    • What heat are you using?

On my kingroon filament I would use 200/60.

With my current stuff Im doing the first layer at 225 then 200.

      • 235/70 including first layer

  • I've had no issues using 3DFillies PLA+ with my Prusa MK3. Might be worth a shot? https://3dfillies.com/plaplus-filament-175mm-1kg/

$22.95 per kg plus shipping which is free over $99.

If you're in Melbourne I'd be happy to snip some off one of my rolls for you to try first.

    • Thanks, $9 shipping isn't too bad to try a roll.

I might give them a go.

  • Great printer!
Agree with previous posters;- both ESun and 3DFillies supply great PLA+
    Happy printing.

  • I've had better results with 3d fillies than I have with eSun.

  • I started with 3DFillies, and haven't bothered trying another brand.
    Every roll has been glorious.

$23 for PLA is awesome for Australian stock
