I am using a Braun series 3 that I bought in 2010. I replaced the foil/cassette a few times. It's still going strong. However the shaving experience hasn't been very pleasant. It's not rechargeable and the head is not flexible.
It's time to replace the foil again and foils cost around $35-$40. I am just thinking if I should just buy a new generation shaver instead of replacing the head this time. Are the current shavers significantly better the one I have been using? I can only spend upto $200 though. Please share your experience.

Very happy with braun series 5 with cleaning station, got it for about 150-160. Very comfortable and easy to maintain. I like to use with shaving cream for minimal irritation, which also means never have to worry about any water/alcohol solution which hasn't totally dried after the clean cycle.
If you don't want/need the cleaning station model you could get it for about 110.
Bought this for $99 a few months back. Really enjoying it so far and only had to charge it once since owning it. Currently $149 so maybe wait for a sale?

Get a better Braun foil shaver. Those series 3 and 5 are weak.
