Hey guys hope you’re all well :).
I'm having difficulty purchasing a ticket to Julio Iglesias concert at en.kremlinpalace.org, and I'm hoping that someone could help me find out what's going wrong so I can purchase this ticket.
On the final step of the process I receive a txt message from my bank with a random number to enter into the verification box, I enter the number click submit and get a message that says ”the operation was rejected, contact the store”.
I've tried with a visa debit card from ING and ANZ.
ING said the transaction is being flagged as suspicious, so they temporarily disabled the security measures but the transaction still failed.
Any help would be very much appreciated, thanks in advance :).
Update 1:
After more contact with ING and ANZ they both have said there is no activity, nothing is being shown as declined/rejected, there isn't anything getting through to their end.
So it looks like the problem lies on the merchants side, not liking my bank details?
Has anyone had a similar problem with an overseas online purchase before?
Update 2:
So I've found out that the Kremlinpalace.org uses the Sberbank of Russia.
It appears that Sberbank has flagged the transaction as problematic (possibly because I'm a westerner?), the Kremlinpalace.org sees the transaction flagged and says whoa this looks dangerous we're going to decline the transaction?
Here's a chap with a similar problem to me.
Ok so it looks like it's Sberbank is flagging my transactions.
I've just emailed Sberbank that the transaction is being declined and I've already email the merchant (Kremlinpalace.org).
Incase my efforts fail is there anyone here with a Russian bank account (or something) that could buy the tickets on my behalf?
Another Julio Iglesias thread? He must have a number of followers from Ozbargain.
Edit: Just checked, same fan as before lol
