Just in general for boy/girl kindy, year1.
Drawing/colouring stuff, or outdoors toys
lego
Yup, that would be my choice.
Really depends on the child . Dinosaurs/ LEGO / super hero’s / books oh just realised ur after girl suggestions too ! Pony’s shoppies (shopkins dolls) Polly pockets / barbies smiggles
As a Youngster my only girlie toy was a china tea set. Buy for the child not the gender, find out what he/she is actually interested in.
Hot wheels! Do kids still play with those?
If you like the child / parents, a gift card for Myer / DJ / Big W so that they can choose what they want.
If you dislike the child / parents, a Toys R Us gift card.
lol
Lego
Ask the parents..
When I was in primary school any kid that had a pocket knife was considered to be pretty cool.
Right up until the teacher takes it off the kid and calls the parents. Then, again, you can always play mumbley peg.
$15 - $20.
I don’t feel bad sending little jimmy off with a $16 LEGO set I ozbargained at 35% off, and usually buy a few when I see a good sale for just this purpose.Movie vouchers. My wife bought a lot because they were only $8. Then I got two Sinemia accounts (one for her, one for me).
My wife also buys lots of new stuff on clearance (sometimes in op shops) and keeps them in case of emergency gifts. Eventually she'll give them to our kids if they weren't needed. It's better to buy a couple extra $2 toys that weren't necessary than a $15 one at the last minute. That said, I do sometimes have to remind her that there's a lot of gifts "still waiting" when she wants to buy more.
I bought a lot of Woolworths earphones for $1 each, they're actually decent for the price and I may give some out as gifts. Our kids are hard on earphones, so they'll get used one way or the other.
My kids reckon Ty beanie boos are all the rage at the moment at primary school.
Correct. But you need to choose one they don't have, so it's a gamble.
Need to be more specific. Huge difference between someone in year 1 vs year 6, and boy vs girl (yeah yeah don't get PC with me but not many boys would appreciate a My Little Pony)
