[PC] FREE GAME - Overlord II @ Gamesessions

130

Overlord II, sequel to the critically acclaimed cult hit, sees the return of the chaotic Minions and their new Dark Master. Bigger, badder and more beautifully destructive, Overlord 2 has a Glorious Empire to smash, a massive Netherworld to revive, Minion mounts to mobilize, a trio of mistresses to woo, War Machines to crush opposition and lots of cute creatures to, err… murder (and a mini-map)

The free game is tied to your GameSessions account. Must be played for at least 5 minutes to keep game licence.

The Steam version ($5) is added to your Steam library and grants you access to Steam-based features.

Upvoted but not going to sign up for it. I don't want more stupid accounts, steam brings all that bs together which makes it nice. im not against drm-free games but i'd rather have them all in one place where i can download, update & play with ease.

Agreed; plus this being tied to a "gamesessions account" means it's not even got the benefit of being DRM-free.

I am all against DRM so I hope more games join GOG.

  • Can I get steam cards with this?

    • +2

      If you pay $5.

Great game. Be aware during play you will occasionally get interrupted with adds and other promotions from gameesessions. Thats why they offer a cheap $5 steam key if you want to purchase an add free steam version. Although can't complain for a free game.

    • So this has adware in it?

      • Same as how you can download apps for free on a mobile device but to offset the free cost they usually contain ads. This not so annoying though. Since its also necessary to run the game through the GameSessions client.

For those that are not aware, if you are a Humble Monthly subscriber you will already have access to a DRM free copy of this game via the Humble Monthly Trove.

  • Gamesessions don't seem to understand. We don't play games, we just make our backlogs larger by buying stuff on sale. Their method of needing to play the game is the total opposite to what people actually do..

    • Agreed! Out of the few games I have (~2175 according to steam library), only played a handful more than 5 minutes.
