I finally sold my projector and am in the market for a new tv. and I just missed out on that Sony 75" X90F
Anyone know of anywhere where they are still for sale for around $3,600?
Back up to $6k at JB, GG :(
Any help much appreciated.

Yes. There's the Samsung 75" $3000 deal still running. Don't know the differences.
As yourself this question. What's changed from last week to today that would cause the retailer to not be able to offer you that TV for $3,600?
The answer is: probably nothing.
Where store did you see that price at? Go back to that store and tell them that you want it for $3,600.
It was sony.com.au offering it at $3999 and then 7% off for Cashrewards.
VideoPro did even better on eBay, and JB/GG/HN did match for some people.
It's worth asking, but it was essentially a manufacturer led promotional price.
I feel ya! Same situation here. Going to try my hand at walking into JB/TGG and see if I can't get it for last week's $3999 (Don't think they'll acknowledge the VideoPro $3600 eBay deal).

In the same position here just missed out. Keep us updated on whether any retailers revive the deal for you
Tried to get Harvey Norman to match the $3600 receipt that was posted in another thread, no dice, cheapest they can do is $4700… Said I couldn't justify it at that price given it was available a few weeks ago for over 1k less…
He said he contacted Sony and was told they said it probably wouldn't go that low again, even boxing day.
Take from that what you will, in any case, watching this thread with interest..
Contacted VideoPro as received their weekend promotional offer of all TVs Cost Price + $1 offer on email yesterday.
They quoted me around $5,000 for the 75X9000F, and after I explained 2 weeks ago it was $3,999 less -20% ($3,691 delivered) they just explained that they couldn't go that low.
What on earth is a cost price plus $1 sale then? They can't even get close to what they were selling these 2 weeks ago! Doesn't make sense to me.
The story I got from 2 or 3 stores (HN/BingLee/Goodguys) was that somebody at Sony stuffed up and they had to honor the commitment, thus we had that fire-sale for a few days and people got the TV for 3xxx.
In any case, knowing this, there is no way I can spend anything outside the 3k bracket for this TV, without feeling ripped off…
Hopefully the upcoming 75" Z9F will force another sale in future for these..
Sony was likely funding the sale at a loss, in which case cannot be replicated unless approved by Sony. Vendors do it occasionally to meet their sales targets and it's limited for a short window for that reason, I missed out too but you can't assume anyone can do it whenever they feel like just because it's been done before. On another note, i'm looking at the Samsung NU8000 currently that has $500 cashback, VideoPro just had a deal that brought it down to just under 3k after cashback but i missed that out too lol. The cashback for that ends 1st of Oct though so i'm on the lookout for another deal.
VideoPro put the ticketed price up again to $5,999
https://www.videopro.com.au/p-11791-sony-bravia-75-kd75x9000…
Down now to $5290
Videopro now $5170
thats ridiculously high
Slowly edging down though… But yeah, not sure how long (if ever) until see that $3700 price again.
Sub $3600 now, GG eBay sale.
Just got it, now to explain to misses when this huge box of tv arrives…
right when I don't have money :(
time for oled
