  • Rep, I ordered a cable from this deal, and was successful in claiming one, but then my order was cancelled due to being out of stock! (How could it be out of stock when the code was limited to 40 pieces?)

Could you please look into it. My order number was #53484874.

    • Our server team will contact you after check.Thank you for your order.

Report it when it excludes GST

The final price/GST should always be in the title, that has always been the case

      • +2

The time it took for you to type that comment and me to type this one we both could have submitted a report ;)

        • It's the thought that counts :)

  • Any longer micro USB cables rep? Bought a xiaomi 20000 2c recently but the cable that came with it didn't last a month

Question for the Rep - How do we opt out of the promotional SMS that Banggood now sends?

    • -2

      PM me your phone number.

      • +3

Could you just provide users with the option of opting out?

        • The SMS agent is working for the option of opting out.

        • @banggood: What does that mean? What is an SMS agent?

    • +1

Strangely, the phone number field states something like: "phone number will be stored safaly".

  • not free shipping for USB C 6ft cable? plus goods tax?

  • +6

Banggood has started spamming customers phone. Beware

    • Thanks for the warning. I just signed up through the website, and made a purchase through PayPal. I wasn't asked for a phone number, and it isn't stored in my PayPal profile. How did they get your phone number? Is it required for the Banggood app?

      • +1

Pretty sure they got it from my paypal shipping details. Not 100% sure, but its the only thing I can think of

        • +1

Thanks, I'm lucky I don't have it in my PayPal profile!

    Don’t trust these guys.
Keep spamming phones with no way to opt out.
Even emails I’ve had to click the unsubscribe button multiple times but I still receive them.
Bought many items from them in the past but I’m just sick of the spam.

I have a solution for you for future website signups. Create a free yahoo email account, this will give you an email account like [email protected]

Go into the settings of your Yahoo email account, click "more settings" and then "mailboxes". One of the headings you will see is called "disposable email address". This will let you create a different email address, set a "base name" like "spamemail", which will give you an email address like [email protected] (no .au on this address). But that address won't work just yet, you have to "add" a keyword, like "banggood1234", with the description "banggood" and leave "sending name" blank. This creates the email address [email protected]

Email sent to [email protected] will appear in the [email protected] account, but if they start sending you spam, you can wipe the "banggood1234" keyword, and their emails will bounce. Create a new unique keyword for every website that you sign up to. It doesn't have to be long, you can just use a three-digit number as your keyword. Yahoo lets you use up to 500 keywords.

I then forward emails from [email protected] to my regular email account, which is a gmail account, where I have a set a filter to automatically delete emails from "spamemail" (without any "yahoo.com"). That way, if I make a purchase, I know to go the to bin folder, view the order confirmation, and move it back to the inbox. All of their spam emails from the last month are in the bin folder, so if they send a discount offer, I'll see it on OzBargain, and go into the bin folder and retrieve it.

The only catch with this is that you might miss a "we're out of stock, would you like to cancel" email - just remember to check your bin folder weekly, set a repeating alarm in Google Calendar to remind you.

I know you can also do a similar thing with gmail's "[email protected]" trick, but that won't let you bounce emails if the website gets too annoying, and it's pretty trivial for a spammer to trim off everything after the "+". Yahoo's method is superior to gmail's method, in my opinion.

Note: when creating the "base name" for your yahoo email address, you only get one go at it. YOU CAN'T EVER CHANGE IT, so make it a good (and short) one. If you select a base name that is already in use by someone else, it will ask you to try again.

If you log into your "[email protected]" account, and reply to an email that was sent to "[email protected]", yahoo will automatically reply with the correct "[email protected]" as the sending address.

  • Hi there,

We are so sorry that the SMS bothered you. Our SMS channel aims to deliver the instant discount information to our valued customers like you. But we sincerely apologized for the inconvenience it caused you. Please feel free to text STOP or END to that message you received. And it's according to the unsubscribe logic of the operator company in your country. To ensure you won't receive any of it, please contact our cusomer service by mailing to [email protected] with your phone number. Then we will remove it from the lists ASAP.

    Best regards
    Banggood

      • In general, send stop is OK, if you want to know, you can PM me your phone number, I will help you check.

        • +1

The message comes from "Banggood" as text. There is no phone number to text stop back to.
