Looking for Travel Luggage Suitcase

Hey folks,

I am looking for a luggage case for travel. This will be check in luggage and am looking for a hard case.

Budget is around $ 175. Can anyone please recommend me any particular model that you have used and had a good experience.

Size to be over 76-81 cms.

Thanks in advance !

  • American Tourister

  • I actually read a thing that said Hard cases were actually worse than the softer ones. and that you want one with wheels that are like rollerblade wheels and half inside the case.

But yeah I've got American Tourister and they go well and are always 40% off at Strandbags or DFO

    • The soft cases are lighter but they are much more easily ripped and punctured.

  • Thanks for the replies,

I always had the soft case ones and makes sense when every Kilo matters when travelling overseas.

But this time around we are just holidaying and we have nothing much to carry and wanted to try the hard case. I will definitely want the 4 wheel options for ease of moving it around.

But the bag (link provided by Fergy1987) looks very cool and only weighs 2.9 kg. Now its decision time.

    • I have had my eye on a large American Tourister Litewing 2 from Sportsdirect for awhile.
IF you can get one when they have the size you want, and its on special, you can grab a deal.

  • +1

I will definitely want the 4 wheel options for ease of moving it around

For ease of moving, you want a two wheeler. It's waaaay easier to tilt & drag over all kinds of surfaces rather than the 4 wheelers which are only useful over hard, flat, smooth surfaces. And the poster above who said to get rollerblade wheels half inside is correct - they're generally only available on two wheelers, so much more durable & not susceptible to damage like 4 wheelers which protrude.

  • Thanks for all the input guys.

This product seems to be on sale. Does any one have experience using this model ?

    • I don't have that exact one but you can't go wrong with Samsonite
