    Cycling Computer $429

What kind of graphics card do these have?

  • I personally don't see the value in these devices. Better to use your phone in a case. Lots of apps that do GPS stuff, heart rate monitoring, e.g. Strava.

    • My iPhone 7 lasted 5 hours and then died. My Garmin lasts over 10 hours.
Thats why I use a Garmin.
I also know that you phone doesnt have much of a chance crashing at any sought of speed bt the Garmin is pretty tough.

    • Good luck with the battery life of a phone.

I don't even find the life of the Garmin GPS units enough, especially whilst on tour.

To negate this negative, I utilise a dynamo hub.

I find my gps easier to top up to a full charge than my phone and the gps has the benefit of being visible the whole time.

The GPS too offers up the impression of being more robust than an expensive smart phone on the handlebars at the mercy of a fall or the rain and elements.

If you're happy to be frustrated with the touch screen, then fine.
Go the 520/plus with buttons instead, or even a wahoo.
