    Really? I was looking for an extra 8gb for an optiplex a few months ago and it was around $100 for a single stick of DDR3 1600, so two for $117 seems ok.

    Have you checked out what the prices of RAM are? $117 is really cheap. I recently bought 16gb Kingston DDR3 second hand from ebay for $110.
    I managed to sell my old set of 8gig for $70.

      Exactly, this would be ok for just a normal workstation. Hearing of the 9th Gen processors now I feel like i gotta wait to see if they will be supported by Gen 8 motherboards. They have a potential release of next year but little to no info.
