  • I grabbed a few yesterday as I was driving through Gosford.

    The 16GB is also $3.

  • Damn I paid 7.50 for it on clearance at Underwood Qld.

  • How long does it take to transfer 32GB at USB 2.0 speed. And knowing that the file transfer speed on this drive wouldn't even get any where near bottle-necking the USB 2.0 speed any how it would take ages.

    • USB 2 transfer rates are about 40Mb/s, why wouldn't any solid state drive max out USB 2 speeds? Most would these days. Even meachanical drives can go faster than 40Mb/s

      • I've seen USB 2 flash drives that don't reach near 10MB/s write speed let alone 40MB/s. There's a high chance that this USB 2 flash drive doesn't reach any where close to USB 2 speed on the write. It depends on how crap the NAND memory is. A lot of these cheap USB 2 flash drives have second rate and slow NAND chips on it.

        • Emtec aren't that bad. Banggood drives yeah probably.

  • Cheers… Now sold out

  • Not bad for windows boot key

  • +1

    Sure it’s slow 2.0. Sure it’s only 32gb.

But my first thumb drive was 256MB and cost $45.

    $3 for 16GB doesn’t sound too bad.

    • … and $3 for 32GB is even better!
