ps this alarm is crappy, you need to constantly change batteries, when it rains water can get in unit and/or drop off, and it looks ugly, yes it's only $5.98 posted but spend a little more

Here's a much simpler idea for whoever the hell "invented" this - put a reversing buzzer inside a light socket fitting, then squeeze a couple of LEDs in to provide some light to keep the reverse light still legal. Swap out your existing reversing lamp for this device and you'll get your shitty beep + light.
I'm pretty sure they already sell something like this anyway, sheesh.

You don't need a reverse alarm if you drive like a pro (y)
They are handy to have though. I drive a Jeep Wrangler and it can be a bit difficult because it has bad viewing angles and you gotta be careful with the huge fenders not to hit anything. I need to get one I think but not this junk one.
