  • Somewhat related: The CEO of Vodafone offers a public apology after the spate of complaints on Voda's service.

So yeah, be prepared to be dissapointed, at least for now.

    • +1

Yeah… Voda has been going to "catch up" with capability for years now.
The public apology of the CEO was so touching… ???
It is very profitable to oversell your network (and get away with it).

Vodafone's connection and service is absolutely terrible. Their network is stretched beyond its limit, and they want to bring in MORE users/money?! Essentially this "bargain" equates to $30 for something that you can't even use.

  • +4

    No no vodafail.

  • +3

    lol another vodafail deal ;)

i'm a little cautious of connecting to the vodaphone network, at least until they upgrade it (whenever that might be)

    • +1

Agreed. I won't vote on this deal because while it actually is a good price, I have incredible problems getting a stable connection with Vodafone. It's been bad for several months and is getting progressively worse. Vodafone's CEO recently said they'll upgrade their network by the end of this year.

Cheaper prices will only continue to make things worse for everyone.

The credit is only valid for 1 month

A better deal on the same network is 9Gb over 6 months for only $20 more….

    • Hmmmm don't Crazy John's use the lowest priority rung of the Optus network? I'm currently using Virgin broadband (also on the Optus network) and the connection has been excruciatingly bad for over almost two months (check out the Whirlpool forums for details).

Otherwise that Crazy John's deal would be awesome.

Hmmmm don’t Crazy John’s use the lowest priority rung of the Optus network?

Not sure where you heard that from, but it is wrong…

        • Crazy John's mobile and mobile broadband service is on Australia's Vodafone Network.

        • Cheers for that, I must have got it mixed up! :)

      • +1

I'm also using virgin mobile broadband and considering getting the Crazy John's one to see if Vodafone is any better…

  • +1

Optus sold their souls to whoever wants to hop on their network. Countless prepaids on it now.

    • +1

Vodafone are not on the Optus network.

Don't see a problem with vodafone. I have vodafone for my 3g backup and have never had a single issue, and get decent speeds.

  • I used it as my primary internet connection for 6 months and it was fine, far far better than virgin.

    • +1

      … how recently?

      • -2

Last half of 2010. And lol at the neg on my comment. I smell someone who works for virgin

  • +1

Mods, please temporarily ban vodaphone deals, I'm tired of reading bashfests. If your gonna neg it, gives us some details, not cotd like hate

    • +2

i negged this deal for bad value… i posted a better deal on the vodafone network, see my post above…

      • -1

I wasn't referring to your vote jv.

Neighbour bought one of their net deals and uses the stick to hold the door open.

  • +1

Can I just say, price wise this deal is good, but I've been using Voda prepaid broadband for the past 3 months, and can say the network isn't satisfying. Yea, 90% of the time it'll work great, but multiple times a day, my internet browser would simply stop loading because something is wrong with the 3G. The only solution is to restart my pocket wifi, which takes 30-60 seconds. You're better off going with Optus or Telstra.

I have Vodafone broaband, please don't make the same mistake as me. Vodafone broadband run like a Dog.
