My girlfriend & her friends want to spend a weekend in Sydney that week.
Where can they get tourist informations pack?
Is there any good restaurant to eat or worth a visit? They plan to visit Quay Restaurant & Red Lantern coz they want to try the "guava custard snowball" desert that Peter Gilmore made in Masterchef :) Any OzB try it yet?
Which hotel close to Opera house and bus/train?
Is PARKROYAL Parramatta convenience travel by bus to Surry Hills & Circular Quay West?
How much does it normally cost by taxi from airport to Parramatta or Circular Quay West? Is there a bus travel to these 2 location? How long would it take by taxi/ bus?
Appreciate if anyone can answer any of my question or all would be great :)

Thanks RN so you haven't try guava custard snowball? What did you eat…anything on the menu that you recommend?
The girls only stay for 1 night and decide to stay in the city so still hunting for a good place. My wife and I went in Oct during the food festival and they had a special menu on… unfortunately they aren't regular menu items (at least not at the time). Instead of a dessert snow egg, they had a savoury snow egg which was insanely good! I wanted a second serve immediately after I finished the first!
I'd say any hotel within walking distance of Central, Town Hall or Wynyard station will be fine. From those locations, you can hit just about anywhere else.
30 mins from Parra to the city is only if you can get the about hourly Blue Mountains express stopping only in Strathfield, otherwise it's more like 40-45 mins. Surry Hills is walking distance from Central, though Crown Street is an uphill walk.
I second the suggestion to stay in the city. Saves time, and the transport costs may negate any accommodation savings.
Thanks mate your suggestion really help and make the decision alot easy :)
Quay is definitely as amazing as they say it is. I went last October and I can safely say very few restaurants are in the same league. Very exxy, but I felt that I got value for money!
From Parramatta it's about a 30m train ride to the city, not sure about buses though. Circular Quay has a train station and Quay is a short walk from there. As for Surry Hills, best bet would be to train to Central then bus.
Taxis will be pretty expensive, during off peak times it's about 20-30m drive from Parra to the city, during peak hours you can double that. Probably budget yourself $70-$100 each way for a cab.
All in all, if everything they want to do is around the city, would suggest you pay extra for a hotel that's closer. Save yourself time at the very least!
Had a quick search for accommodation online, seems quite full that weekend! Depending on the number of pepole, you could try this place (1bdr apt, sleeps 4, min 2 nights):
