clicked post comment twice
The absolute answer is no, they're not really very good at all. But they might be better than you're used to, which is a plus for only $20.
But no, don't go here looking for good sound.
You spoke great wisdom there.
bought a pair of these awhile ago, they do the job but that's about it
the only good thing is they have lifetime warranties.. invest into some sennheisers i say

+1
sennheisers are great
although on my CX500, the volume control sliding up and down thing) fell off, but it still worksMy CX500 volume slider fell off too except now the right speaker doesn't work. The wire has warn aswell. Suppose I should have utilized the bag that came with it…

LOL same here i don't use the bag as well
Don't get too hung up on brands - different brands (and models) work better for different people, as they have different sound signatures. Just buy good ones that sound the way you want them too.
(I've got a top-end set of Westone IEMs, but they're not for everyone.)
Good advice… and how loaded are you? Westones D=
Whoa u have westone 4's????
Any comments, im wondering how they compare to w3's and um3x.
Wondering if they sound recessed like the w3s, i like my music full and forward like im getting with my um3x.My bad, should have said "four-year-old" top-end Westone IEMs :-)
I've got the UM2s. Bought them a long time back, still love them, still giving great sound. (My wife has the UM1s, and they're also seriously good.) They've been used a LOT over the journey, and they're still going strong.
But audio is like most stuff - buy well once, or buy crappy often, and spend the same for far inferior crap.
Skullcandy are rubbish. Probably better than the ones that came with your PMP but not by much.
get the skullcrushers..they will blow your mind
General rule of thumb: if you see audio that is sold at JB Hifi, it's crap. For $20, it will sound exactly like what $20 earphones sound like: OK.
People preach about how great xyz is, but the best they've heard are their own pair of $100 Logitechs, and that something $60 will 'blow your mind'.If you want something that works, get this. If you want great audio, get something else.
I don't know how much they usually sell these for, and I don't care. Even for $20 they are not worth it. Still cannot figure out why people like this brand, as they sound like rubbish.
Anyone know if these are any good?
