Small Business Shirts

Wondering where you guys find your business shirts for smaller framed guys. I'm 5'5/165cm and have a hard time finding business shirts.
Pretty much everything in myer/dj's is too big. Basically i need xs + slim fit. I don't even bother buying them online since the fit is so different between brands.

Cheers

Have you tried anything from Uniqlo? They have a size chart. e.g. here

I think you need to reassess your stance on online ordering and try TM Lewin or Charles Tyrwhitt or similar. Once you have a size that fits, repeat order from that supplier.

    • yeah CT shirts are my current fav now.

    • I tried the TM lewin shirts at myer and they were all too big. Once i do find a size i'd have no issue buying online. Haven't tried the CT ones yet i'll see if i can hunt them down in a store.

      • I understand the desire to try them on, but CT have regularm slim and super slim. I can imagine the stores might not have every fitting.

        • Hassle free returns with CT as well - box comes with a returns slip for anything that you want to send back.

        • Would also recommend CT. Just get someone to help measure yourself and pick the shirt that most closely fits your measurements. And for your size, definitely go with the super slim fit!

I got shirts for my small business from vista print

  • You can buy online - most online (especially Asian) sellers have a size guide so as long as you have your measurements you should be fine. They're cheap enough you can buy one from each seller/size/style, see which one you like, and then buy a dozen of that one.

  • I'm pretty much the same, have you tried H&M?

I found some decent fitting ones from there

you're screwed - I'm the exact same height and I get mine tailor made after years of buying shirts that just never fit properly. I also got a bunch made when I went to Vietnam on holiday and they keep my measurements so when I want new ones I can just tell them to make me new ones and ship them over :P

The problem with the DJ's and Myer ones I find is - a) even when they are the same length and neck size, they still all seem to fit differently. and b) if they fit in the arm they are too small in the neck so no chance of a tie, if they fit in the neck they are too long in the arm.

    • Just wondering where do you get them tailor made and how much you paying? I don't mind paying a bit since i'm pretty much wearing them everyday. Yeah my problem is i can find some where the shoulders fit good but then they're too big around the waist and go down too long or the arms are too long.

      • Inquire with Jantzen Tailor in Hong Kong, they do overseas orders and can tailor every detail you want. If you order one and it fits well they will keep your measurements on record. Only thing is you can't really feel the material.

      • http://www.yalycouture.com/ is where I got mine done in Vietnam, They have a guide there that teaches you how to take the measurements. I think I paid $30 USD for the shirts…so whats that like $45 AUD? - but you pay that here anyway - Australian Tailors probably cost you 90 bucks a shirt.

Worst case though you could go to a tailor locally, get them to measure you and get some shirts, then get the measurements from the tailor and send them overseas :P - Not sure if tailors will give out your measurements though :P

I get mine from ASOS - XXS is a great fit for me.

  • Brooks brothers should have every size possible…

I find it hard to believe Myers and DJs don’t have a large selection. You are looking in the full priced items not just the discount rack yeah?

I got mine from TM lewin store in their super fitted. (asian, 60kg, 170cm are my measurements IIRC). The torse, shoulders, neck, sleeve are very good. Sleeve a little loose (circumference) but not too bad.

  • Also can try Brooksfield "38 Slim" or even 37
