I always put it on the shortest setting, which is 43 minutes, but seen housemates use the 90+ minute setting.
I honestly see no difference from 40 minutes to double that time, hence why i go short as possible.

I keep some powder on hand for the occassional quick wash. You could also try breaking the tab into 3 or 4 pieces.
our powder have hardened into brick form inside the box by now, well past best-by date :P
Quick wash - 30 minutes
our duration is dictated by the temp selected.
we use the hottest setting - 2hrs 15 minutes.

My Bosch is 2:45 on auto mode. It's practically silent and very efficient. Doesn't bother me how long it runs. Quick 30 minute mode does the job 90% but PITA when you have to run it again on a stronger mode - or put half the dishes away before realising they aren't clean.

It's also worth noting that the 'Quick Wash' cycles so popular here may be more resource-intensive than a standard cycle.
I recall RTFM when we got ours and the energy consumption for the short cycles was far greater than the long.
27 minutes - quick wash. Nothing longer required. It's a Bosch.
Mine's 29 mins and comes out steaming and very clean.
Used the quick wash when we had dish drawers, 30min, but it seemed we were running one or the other all the time. 2-3 washes per day. Upside was that dishes didn't have a chance to dry out and scrap harden.
New dishwasher replaced it, packs in 3-4 times as much but runs for as long as it does on 'auto' mode. Either put it on and go to bed, or go out depending on time of filling. Rather have clean dishes than a quick wash.
2:10, never even looked at other programs other than the default. TBH I didn't even realise it was an option

The standard wash on my delongi is 2h50m which seems a little long but the short option is 1 hour which does not quite cut it.
If there is grease or oil I use the longer / hotter option. Otherwise just the shortest wash
The normal on our Bosch dishwasher is 150 minutes!
Some dishwasher tabs says they're compatible with the Quick option, some don't … NFI if this is just marketing
Housemate used the Woolies Select with the quick program and I can clearly see residue so 'Normal' all the way
