  • What are the sizes like? Is large a large or more like a medium? Some of these euro sizes can be a little off.

Rapha fits a little looser than the Italian brands like Castelli, but doesn't exactly run true to size. I buy large in most rapha lines (except their tees and aero jerseys) and I'm 6' 82kg, but I buy medium from other brands (cuore, champsys).

I've found the sizing seems to change with the lines, the 'pro' level stuff runs slimmer (more aero maybe? :P) but do remember lycra is quite stretchy. If you're happy looking like a squishy piece of licorice. They do offer pretty easy returns and decent after sales service tho.

      • @maxwellian, yup I found this out when talking to a local bike shop recently. Cycling clothing brands tend to offer two types of fits:

        • Pro or "race fit" sizing, which is as the name suggests is skin tight and aerodynamic…perfect for short rides if you have a six pack, and
        • "Club fit" for those weekend riders or when doing all-day rides.
  • Had a brief look, jerseys are a little plain for my liking.

Also, someone is going to complain that you haven't put any prices in the title or description.

Who cares about designs when they have the Rapha logo on them!

    • The sale is on hundreds of models/sizes/colours….I wasn't about to list them all. If 60% off isn't enough to warrant a look that's up to you (see below examples though).

  • The sale has dragged on a bit longer than previous years.
Can't find any nice colours remaining on sale.
They downgraded the free shipping service - now takes about a week, compared to 2 days when I first bought at a sale a few years back.

    • Yeah, I was a little surprised that it kept being extended too.
Still couldn't justify buying anything this time though.

    • Agreed. I bought a few things a few weeks back at 40 - 50% off, but at 60% off I thought it was too good to pass. Unfortunately most of the classic lines like their popular jackets, gilets, and jerseys were sold out or still at full price but I got some good deals on accessories. I had to search around a bit to find suitable products at the right price, size, and colour but think it was worth it. Cheaper than any local bike dealership, even for cheapish brands:

Pro Team Lightweight Gilet $64 (was $160)
Pro Team Baselayer - Short Sleeve (white - sold out) $36 (was $90) - good coming into summer
Classic Crotchet Mitts $48 (was $120)
Pro Team (winter) Gloves $60 (was $120)
Pro Team Mitts $45 (was $90)
Rapha Bidon - Large $13.50 (was $27) - pretty good for a Camelbak bottle, let alone Rapha product

If you're looking for cheap, everyday gear Decathlon is worth a look too. Their website is pretty rubbish and items sell out quickly but good for basic stuff for commuting.
