Typically less than that at local delis…
…for the unpackaged in the cabinet window variety, maybe.
The packaging isn't that enticing that I'd want to pay extra for it…
Packaging is used to store the cheese, along with the brine to keep it from going bad, makes it very convienient. It also gives comfort it hasn't been sitting in a tray/tub in a cabinet for a week…for what it is, and compared to price of the same dodoni packaged product elsewhere it's a good deal.
it hasn't been sitting in a tray/tub in a cabinet for a week…
You're shopping at the wrong deli then…
Our local one goes through lots of trays of cheese each day and they have about half a dozen different fetas…
It would be much fresher than the prepackaged ones.I'd never buy this from Coles or Woolies from their cabinet…
I like how the label says instant rebate. It's such an American thing!
1.5kg is tub weight. The tub contains 1kg of feta and 0.5kg water/brine.
Yes, correct 1.5kg total weight, 1kg drained (less brine)
Noticed some states have different specials, is this NSW ?
This one was at Costco in VIC
That is just sooo much cheese.
It is a lot of cheese, great for large family, or of you love feta.
No its not….i destroy half a slice when i have it with a meal. On average a tub will last 2-3 weeks tops.
Love my feta :D
Is that a Chinese Fake version of Dodoni Feta?
