Very brave of the rep to come sniffing around the Ozbargain backdoor, considering the very public customer service failures, rip offs and occasional aggression they have shown .
How do I know? I myself have been abused by the rep on the phone attempting to get normal customer service when they sent the wrong product. I won't repeat the entire story here but trust me, they try very hard to NOT do the right thing once they have your money.

Please note that many of these shoes are effectively USED sold as new.
    - Shop tired stock
    - Samples
    - Returns
Many of them will have been on lots of feet by the time you buy them, if you are that foolish.
This store would be amongst my least recommended and I am honestly surprised they have not been banned.

I received this PM last month:-

      brandhousedirect on Mon, 09/07/2018 - 17:47

      Dear PJC,

We know that you have been unhappy with us for a long time now and we would like to try and call a truce.

If we have upset you in any way, we would firstly like to apologise. We would like to offer you a $50 gift voucher towards another pair of shoes at our store as a gesture of goodwill to demonstrate that we are genuinely trying to make right by the situation.

Let me know if you are willing to take me up on this offer. We want to restore your confidence in us as a genuine Australian seller.

We are in the business of selling shoes and trying our best to do right by our customers. If we have wronged you in the past, we hope you can forgive this and move forward.

we would like to try and call a truce.

So is that confirmation by the Rep that this comment which came with a neg was basically made to get back at you?

        • +3

Quite likely. That was revoked by the community. We know why Store Rep OP can afford a better watch.

        • +3

That seems like a crappy way for a Rep to conduct themselves on here, neg.

        • +1

          Wow. That is petty.

I also have been bitten by Brand House Direct, with shoes falling apart after 3 days and them failing to respond to my repair or replacement request. This store is also amongst my least recommended.

    • +2

Has that matter been resolved yet?

      • +2

I bought shoes off them after rep said they would be the same size as newbalance i wear, all 5 sets to small. Never responded when i requested assistance…

      • +2

No. The first response from BHD blamed it on my 'gait'. When I pointed out the failure occurred on the upper side which has no contact with any surface along with the Australian Consumer Law requirements they failed to respond. I did consider pursuing it, but after reading in forums about other consumers who got favourable rulings but then had to pursue the remedy as an outstanding debt I decided it wasn't worth the effort.

  • I am a new person here in charge at Brand House Direct. I value customers and am here to help resolve any prior issues you may have. We have some great deals and products, so hopefully you can give a new person an opportunity to make right any concerns you may have.

Are you certain you desire the same username, profile and comments history? Were you truly not aware of these matters before posting today's offer?

    • +1

Lol give me a $75 credit toward new shoes (actual cost was about $157 on grosby ect ones) and ill call us even and place an order for some workboots (because i know what size id need in brands you have)i dont see 50% back as store credit as unreasonable.

    • +2

Well reviews on product review are still woeful and are recent too. So still huge problem at Brand House Direct. Scares me away.

Best of luck to you. I work in customer service too so I know you haven't been dealt an easy hand. Publicly resolving the issues from the past though is going to be essential to having any chance of future success on OzBargain.

So why have you EXPIRED this offer instead of initiating sincere dialogue with Members who have grievances?

  • Negging due to major issue with retailer. Store Rep OP consistently demonstrates reluctance to respect Member grievances. Ignoring complaints or responding facetiously represents a consciously chosen attitude that is unacceptable. Legitimate Member grievances need to be addressed responsibly and sincerely.

We are now informed that was a previous Store Rep and there was a glimmer of hope when his replacement proclaimed …

We have some great deals and products, so hopefully you can give a new person an opportunity to make right any concerns you may have.

… but perplexingly EXPIRED this deal without further comment, which is indeed disappointing.
