I need a multimedia projector for presentations under $1000 (but can spend more if unrealistic) and a portable screen with floor stand. Projector and screen will need to be mobile and fit in a Hyundai i30. Both items will be driven to various locations where the projector will have to sit on a table and project to a screen which can be unfolded and stand at a decent height on its own, i.e. above table height. Projector can be normal size as long as it can go in a carry bag.
Using a laptop, connectivity requirements are pretty basic - HDMI, VGA, Audio Out, DP if an option, etc. Can plug in a Chromecast or Microsoft wireless display adapter if I ever need wireless i guess. I'm looking at 1080P, will entertain 720P if not too blocky over a 2-3m screen.
The i30 would probably limit a roll-up screen to a 2m long canister. If there are other larger options that fold up more compactly then great. 3m would be plenty and 2m adequate.
Reliability, ease of maintenance, ease of setup, local servicing and a reputable brand are more important to me than bells and whistles. If a home theatre projector is cheaper and fine for the task then OK with that.
Not presenting to oil tycoons, just small-medium business, staff and various educational classes.
