We have the basic package with Foxtel $29 per month but really only watch free to air tv shows & discovery channel from Foxtel. We have the IQ3 box for recording free to air tv shows. I would like to watch movies, sports, discovery etc but Foxtel is going to charge per movie channel, sports channel etc which is going to be approximately $79 per month which i cant afford. Can you suggest any other stream companies which are better & not expensive eg Netflix, Stan, apple?

I've had the same dilemma. It depends on whether or not you watch sports (I don't).
I priced up the Foxtel Now package. As you've noticed, all the content packs are priced individually. Once you add the cost of the content packs it gets very pricey.
My cheap solution is Netflix + Stan + Amazon Prime for ~$25/month, as well as the free catch-up TV channels (SBS, ABC, Ten, Seven). If you use an Apple TV you can easily search them all at once via the voice search. Any missing shows/movies I can just buy from iTunes or Google Play or rent from a DVD vending machine. I don't bother recording shows anymore because you can usually just stream them.
