Which will last longer? (Strength-wise)
I haven't handled the Woolies plates and I can't say for sure, but just based on the photo I'd guess the oftast would last longer. I have Corelle/corningware sets from the 70s which are still going and seem practically unbreakable, and I understand the Ikea oftast material is the same, but I don't know if the manufacturing technique is the same. Also, oftast have a "sanded" textured underside finish whereas Corelle/corningware are smooth/glossy on all sides - unsure if that affects structural strength.
Consider Ikea oftast instead - cheaper, and the design is timeless (a sort of generic Corelle with no design) .
