        Damn I hate those commercials!

        • And yet you recognise it straight away. Marketing works, sadly :(

    • $22 saving

      • Original post has been updated. Did say they were $36 which was obviously a typo.

        • Yes it was a typo & I did edit the original post.

They are getting rid of all their old school stock at the moment. Noticed that office chairs were down to $12 (none left at my local coles though). So if your planning on shopping tonight make sure you check out the stationery section.

  • Are the label paper cheap or expensive?

    • +5

i wouldn't call it overly expensive, but they make money out of replacement tape.

The label refills are generally pretty expensive considering what they are.

  • Might try price matching this at OW

BigW has sets of 3 different labels (paper, plastic, metallic) for $23.37 with free delivery: http://www.bigw.com.au/electronics/computers-office/office-a… until the 28th Feb

  • Got the last one from Smithfield. When I switch it on, it displays the blinking cursor and the letter A in the middle. None of the buttons work. I think I got what is worth for $12. Need to return it tomorrow. Thanks for the post mate.

  • Grabbed the last one at Hurstville Station. Works fine :)

  • The last time I bought one of these the replacement tape costs something ridiculous like $40 per cartridge

    • They usually only $9 to $1x depending on the type of tapes. Cheaper if you buy in sets of 2 or 3. What sort of tape did you buy?

smithfield coles - that place is so hidden near the tavern. actually recently discovered it by accident.
smithfield - great suburb to live!
lol, u bought the last unit and it was faulty, what a bummer.

    • I got a house there where I live on occasion. Wouldn't say its a great place to live but its okay.
      Agree the coles is hidden.

      • if you don't mind a bit of industrial pollution and the garden variety of bogans, then for sure it is very livable!

I really want to pull the trigger but I don't know what I'm going to do with it.

  • Is this nationwide?

    • None in Fremantle or Melville in WA.

  • Hmm, i just bought one from Melville WA
$12 for the Label Maker and $5 for the refill.
    Hope it works….hahaha

  • Only save $5.85 at my local coles (Normal Price $17.85), but sold out anyways.

Had the 3 pack refils for $8 (Figtree, NSW)

  • Got the last one at Randwick NSW. There was still tape left for sale there.

  • Would love one of these for $12, will check out Coles here in Brisbane, worth a try. Never could justify buying one, even for $35. Not really a necessity, but can think of a bunch of uses for it.
    Thanks.
