Was browsing around the Ubisoft website when I stumbled upon this DLC. This game will be released on October 5th 2018 but why not pick up the free DLC now? Scroll to the bottom of the page and you'll see a section that says "Get your Spartan Pack".

I received the following message after registering -

SUCCESS! YOU HAVE CLAIMED YOUR SPARTAN PACK

        I thought there had been an old assassins creed game I missed entirely and heard nothing about until I googled it and saw it was the new one. Even though I haven't played any of the games I still think it's really awesome how they're giving away a AAA game that in the case of the rx570 deal costs 1/3 of the card's price. It's a shame I already have a perfectly fine rx480 or else I would have definitely jumped on that.

  shouldn't this just be bundled as part of the game for everyone…? so sick of this DLC rubbish before the game has even been released.

    It's essentially free advertising for them. People go out and tell everyone there's free DLC for something, raising awareness that the game exists and that it's coming out soon. In the end, it's just a couple of items that you'll probably quickly get better versions of in-game. It's easy to skip.

    It's an add-on. You'll need the base game which will be released on October 5th.
