You can get heads very cheap on eBay, only difference is they don’t have the Oral-b name.

    • +4

      And break or loose easily

    • +3

bristles on knock off brush heads may be sharper & damage your teeth.

      • Link to evidence?

        • +1

Mine broke in my mouth and cut my lip. Never again

      • tried that too and they are very hard…not good for your teeth. Don't go there.

    • +1

I've bought them before and quickly learned my lesson. Never again.

    • -4

Agreed, I've been buying generic ones for years and never had a problem. Way cheaper.

    • Maybe you guys are going too cheap? Don't buy the cheapest one's in the entire world! Make sure they look identical to Oral-B just without the logo. It's often easy to tell because they come with the different coloured rings for the bottom of the head (I think they're identifiers) just like genuine ones. Been using heaps of the ones I've got over the last 5 years and haven't any breakages or sharp bristles.

  • Does anyone notice any significant difference between all the different types of heads available?
I’ve only ever used these precision clean heads, which are the basic ones, right?

Out of interest I have some note from 2015 saying I used to buy them for $1.95 each. Have they really gone up to $3/head in 3 years or is this just not as good a bargain as I had years ago?

    • Are you sure was $1.95 per brush head? That was very cheap.

      • there was a time big w was clearing out these, think I paid around $2/head for those 3+1 pack, still have one pack left. Back around 2013-14 Woolies also included these in the half-price Oral-B once and manage to score other head types on the cheap but they've fixed that.

Back when I was using a cheaper power unit (no pulsing action) I found that the normal precision heads wouldn't get my teeth fully clean - a fingernail scraped against a tooth would reveal a thin film still remaining. I tried other types of head and the only one that would really do the job was the Flossing Action head (I should warn that this head feels a lot more aggressive than the normal precision heads).

Since then I've moved to pulsing action power units and the newer cross-action heads that weren't available at the time of my comparison above. Maybe a normal precision head would get the job done when used with a pulsing power unit (I've never tried that combo since I pretty much abandoned the precision heads after my testing above) but the cross action heads are superior in my opinion.

I usually get my replacement heads from a relative travelling to the UK since they're commonly available through chemist stores there at cheaper prices than you'll find here in Australia.

    • I use floss action type and it sure felt different from precision clean.

      • I don't like the floss action ones, I don't feel like theyre actually doing any flossing.

  • Great deal. Also don’t need amazon prime if ordering 2 packs
16 brush heads for 47.60 delivered without amazon prime.

  • Note: This store does not report purchases made on its mobile site and app. Please use a desktop device to ensure you receive cashback.

Wonder why Amazon is forcing people to use desktop to order.

    • Order via mobile browser an hour ago without any issues.

      • Sorry, that was for the 6% cashback. It won’t register if the purchase is made via app or mobile.

        • Cashrewards tell me they get nothing from Amazon without this and I missed out the other day after using mobile… be careful.

  • Thanks OP. got two 8 packs for $47.60, plus 6% shopback cashback and $2 for using the extension! comes close to $42.

  • Nice find, bought 2 packs for $47.60 plus 6% cashback.

I'm trying to limit my purchases on Amazon. It's pretty hard to compete with them on price but if anyone wants an alternative, you can get 6 heads for the same price at Coles: https://shop.coles.com.au/a/a-national/product/braun-oral-b-…

    • +7

Why would I pay more money for less heads?

      • Exactly, that's the age old question. People like value for money when it comes to the pleasure of having their teeth clean!

      • +1

If you want to help the struggling business that is Coles over the juggernaut that is Amazon? /s

      • -6

There's more to buying than $/qty:

        • Pickup today or get delivered tomorrow at Coles - Amazon dispatched in 1-3 weeks.
        • Easier returns
        • $8 delivery unless member of Prime - $60/yr after 30 day free trial.
        • Principles - Amazon.au suck.
        • sucks any more than coles? I don't think so.

        • @Pacify:

Close call, but yes. Amazon great, but .au - I don't even bother looking anymore - either item not there or absurdly priced.

      • Plus 8 heads at industry recommendation of 3 months/head = 2 years if only used by single person. I find I get 6 months out of a head @ twice daily before I call it less effective (which would be in line with industry recommendations acting to their benefit). So I'll probably toss half of them out eventually anyway when moving to a better brush that doesn't accept them.

    • same
      maybe just order 1 package
then they might lose money on it with shipping?

  • +3

Usually goes for sale at Costco $26 for 10 pk

  • Great price. Thanks for sharing.

  • Oral-B stages (for kids) is same price at HN

    https://www.harveynorman.com.au/oral-b-vitality-kids-power-e…

  • Thanks OP

  • Is that any good deal for sensitive one?
I haven't tried this one before.
Dunno if my teeth can take it. lol

    • I can only find the two packs for $9.80 so not as good a deal

    • Sensitive one definitely doesn't clean as much as these standard heads. I used to use them too but I was dissatisfied with how clean my teeth felt.

  • It's coming up at $56.00 delivered for me…

    • +1

On the final order page you will see the discount. Change to standard delivery.

      • Thank you!

    • You need to be on Amazon Prime

      • Amazon Prime is not required. Just change to standard delivery. Turns out to be the same price.

  • Sweet, bought 2!

  • Where do I buy the brush head 😁

  • Not sure why this is so popular? I see them on ebay for around $30 a pack of 8 all the time, with free shipping.

  • I tried adding 2 to cart but the total is $56. How do I get the additional 15%?

    • Go to checkout and it will automatically update the price

  • nice. been holding out for this. $2.9 per head + 6% cashrewards is a good deal.

  • First thing I've felt actually worthwhile to buy off Amazon AU since it came to the country.

  • Strange, the site says $31.99 for the 8 pack but when I check out it says $42.65

  • Is this expired or am I doing something wrong? Mine saying $42.65 per 8 pack, have an active PRIME subscription…

    • Why would I buy from WW for $4 each, instead of $3 each from Amazon?

  • Available again.

  • I think its been removed from the promotion.

      • I just ordered it.. $27.20 incl shipping using prime.

        • +1

$27.20 Price is fine - just not stacking with the 15% off $50 spend

    • Yeah. Not working for me either.

    • Yeah it has, fixed up the deal thanks. Unfortunately only the other sizes get the 15% off $50 spend banner.

  • *The price appears $32 for the 8-pack from 3rd party seller, not Amazon (out of stock)

  • Back in stock again @ $27.20.
