Bought a couple of Uber $50 Gift Cards from Woolworths recently and was surprised to see that the receipt showed "Points earned this shop: 2000"!
So upon further investigation, I found that the catalogue had this deal in it. Needless to say, I went in again and picked up 2 more. Why not?

Yes you can. The system allows it. Whether or not the staff member allows it is a different story. PS: The WISH Gift Card Terms and Conditions (Clause 6.5 state that WISH Gift Cards cannot be used towards the purchase of any gift cards sold through a Participating Store, so YMMV. - Can you buy a gift card at self-serve machines?
Yes you can, if your store doesn't have a banner on each machine saying "Gift Cards cannot be purchased at self serve machines". - Can you buy multiple gift cards and redeem multiple lots of 1000 points?
Yes you can. You can even get multiple cards in one transaction and you'll get all the bonus points added to your Woolworths Rewards account. Note that there is a limit of 10 bonuses per account. - So, what is the effective cost of each of these Gift Cards?
Assuming you buy one of these $50 Gift Cards and pay with a WISH eGift Card that you obtained at 5% off, the equations of discount work out to be:
- $50 as shown on the transaction
- Paying this $50 has an effective cost of $47.50 (5% less)
- You earn 1000 WWR points, which is effectively $5
- Therefore, your $50 Gift Card has a net cost of $42.50.
- This is a discount of 15%!
