80

I have been looking around for a compact laptop sleeve. Passed on this in the past due to the price being $39.95.

Three colour available (White/Plum/Green):

  • Fit for what size of laptop?

    • Links says 13"

  • According to manufacturers website

    Device size: H 32 x W 22.5 x D 1.0 cm

  • Purchased one yesterday from JB-Hifi for my MacBook Pro (2017).
Fits quite well but would definitely not have paid $39.95 for it.
I think $10 for a STM case is a bargain, but $10 seems more reasonable for the quality of the case.
I don't think this case would offer enough protection if you were carrying the laptop alone.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts. Is the padding not thick enough or does the flap come off easily meaning the laptop might slip out. Thinking about using this as a 12.9" iPad sleeve.

      • I'm going to head out to JB to look at one after a meeting I'll probably pick one up for keeping my new device unmarked at home but for travel I'll be looking to get a Tomtoc or something with padding.

        • Hard pass on this for me no padding whatsoever, its a literal knitted sock.

        • @LauralHardy:

Hi Laura, do you like it?

        • +1

@Yaren24: I decided not to buy it, because it was quite thin and offered no protection against bangs but it did look nice, if your device lives on a table and you just want to keep it safe from getting scratched at home it could work for you.

        • @LauralHardy: Thank you

      • I normally carry my laptop in my backpack that has quite a well-padded laptop compartment.
I just wanted some "extra" protection for scratches more than anything - ie: from the zipper etc.
I don't think this should be used as a stand-alone case to protect your device but as an extra form of protection if you already have a backpack or a messenger bag and you intend to carry your device in there.
Having said this, I would probably not recommend an iPad as the iPads are thinner and may slip out of this case quite easily.

        Thanks

  • had a look in-store today, it can be hard to tell from the pictures, but the material is basically like what you get with a mesh washing/laundry bag, maybe twice the layer.

  • Looks like the 15" might be avalible in store;

Good price is retails at STM for $40.

  • Doesn't fit Acer Spin 5. Only just realised after purchase this is a 13" sleeve not a 13.3" sleeve. That's annoying.
