  • Got any Pros, OP?

    • +1

Yes, but not enough at this stage to do a deal. Will be doing an order next week for more and can do a deal then

      • Any idea how much more expensive the Pros will be ?

        • +1

I'll do a good deal. But will need to see how many I can secure first. Will let you know when I can.

    • Aren't the Ikea ladda batteries just reskinned pros?

      • That's what people keep saying :)

      • Not exactly. Ikea perform well enough, but have fewer recharge cycles than the Eneloop pros. Ikea batts likely out of the same factory but at a lower (albeit good enough) grade.

  • Are they two 4-packs or a single 8-pack?

    • Two 4-packs, have updated the description to include that. Thanks

      • +1

Would it be possible for a deal with one 4-Pack of AA and one 4-Pack of AAA?

Also what's the production date on these batteries?

        • +7

          AA production 01/2018
AAA production between 12/2017 to 03/2018
Yes if you would like to buy one 4-pack of AA and a 4-pack of AAA, you can proceed to purchase through any of the above listings, but on the Order page please include a message to substitute one of the packs out. Thanks

        • @EcoMates: There wasn't a field to add a message when I placed my order. I've sent an eBay message after the order. Thanks.

        • +2

@RichardL: normally there is a place to add message where you choose for delivery options.

        • @johnnyle: You're correct. Had another look at the checkout page and found it. Good to know for next time.

  • Whats the consensus on Eneloop Std or Eneloop Pro ? Obviously higher mAH in Pro but reduced number of cycles (500 vs 2100).

What do people here prefer to use?

    • Depends what you're using them for.
Is the item a slow drawing infrequent use item like a remote, or high drawing equipment like a camera flash?

      • Probably both tbh

Which one is more suited to a Camera flash?

        • I've used regular Eneloops in camera flashes for years, and have have been very happy with them. I do have one set of Pros that I've used, and didn't notice a lot of difference.

        • The Pros. Much higher capacity to last longer. And a flash is pretty demanding.
In general the Pros will obviously give you a longer life per charge being a higher capacity, but you have to weigh up the cost difference and life cycles too.

      • Anyone have an opinion on which would be best for an xbox controller?

    • +2

In reality even with 500 charges you’re looking at lasting nearly 10 years if you charge them once a week. So better off getting the higher capacity.

    • +1

If you aren't sure, go non pro. Reasons for non-Pro:
      - Very VERY long life. A decade or more.
      - Hold charge much longer ie in a flash light used a few times a year.

Eneloop pro is for high demand, high cycle. They aren't built for the long game.

  • You are selling batteries, why you don't sell Eneloop charger?

    • +5

In my opinion, Eneloop Charger generally aren't the best charger.

      • Their (Sanyo) cheap little 4 battery Delta smart charger that came in the pack is a great charger.

      • I bought a Liitokala Li-402 on special a few months back .. was under 10 bucks .. and found it to be a great basic smart charger.

If you want ability to test and decharge/charge cells then I think best to go for Li-500 (roughly $25), but others here may have other recommendations
        also.

  • whats the consensus on Eneloop vs the Ikea Laddas?

    • It's believed the Laddas are rebadged Eneloop Pros, so represent very good value if that's what you need.

    • +2

The general consensus is that they should have called them Sveneloop Pros. Cheaper and tastier than a serve of meatballs.

  • +1

Oh it requires eBay plus. What a stinker.

    • +1

Why? There's a free 30 day trial. Even if you've already used the trial on your main eBay account, surely all of your 'housemates' haven't used the trial yet?

  • Came to $9.50 for me with $10 Ebay Plus trial voucher :)

  • Damn signed up to eBay plus, saw there was 8 left so had a shower and thought I’d grab one after but it’s sold out now

  • And the AA are gone…

  • Bunnings sell AAA Evolta rechargeables all year round for about $8-9, european cells at a great price and they were up there with the envelops and the ikea cells.

Source: I was recently looking to purchase some new AA and AAA rechargeable and ended up going REAL deep down a rabbit hole.
Long story short I stumbled across this article: http://goughlui.com/2016/12/19/great-aa-alkaline-battery-tes…
which tested pretty much very popular option on the market. Evolta seems to be the go to brand for the combo of price/convenience/quality.

  • Just missed out :(

  • Why do some packs say they hold 70% while others say 65% after 5 years?

    • +1

      Chinese made versions say 65%.

  • Just bought a whole heap of Coles rechargeable with 5% off eGift cards. It does feel weird being a long time Ozbargainer with no Eneloops though (I bought up big on Alkalines years ago and haven't run out yet).

  • +1

All sold out. Thanks for your support!

We'll update with more stock when we get some

    • Any ideas of an ETA? Even rough estimate so I know when to check back :) Thanks

      • +2

Should be able to secure some more in around 2 weeks time

        • Ok great! Cheers

        • Look forward until then!

  • With everyone speculating about the Ikea batteries, thought I should remind people that the Fujitsu IS DEFINITELY the same battery as the Eneloop. And I've been purchasing these for the past few years at %30-50 off the price of the Eneloop branded ones.

  • Hoping you get more AAAs in stock!

  • Received my order today.

Parcel and Battery package got pretty beat up in the post…
