The Elizabeth camera at Melbourne CBD(Elizabeth St) is closing down and so clearning out all stock with most items at 50% off
A good number of good cameras and accessories were still left.

Ummm I am pretty sure something has changed that it is not the Camera Action Camera House that is closing on Elizabeth Street in Melbourne's CBD, they are on the South West corner.
It is actually Elizabeth Camera Centre which is right next door to Camera Action Camera House, they are on the North West corner.

I have shopped many times at Elizabeth Camera Centre for Sigma lenses and they have always been very helpful with both sales and after sales services and they were quite willing to negotiate on price. It's a real shame they are closing down as it's great having them in that area of the Melbourne CBD with all the other camera stores.
If it's both of them then something weird is going on in that area.
Camera Action Camera House at QV just shut down recently, where they had a big "sale" which involved 25-40% off accessories, the cameras stayed full price and just moved over to the other shop. Plus the two staff members I dealt with there were condescending prats.
If the second store is shutting down, I can see why. But klif-e is probably right, it's probably Elizabeth Camera.
I had a really bad experience with Elizabeth Camera Centre a few years back… I got my holiday photos printed there and the colours were all wrong… They refused to reprint them and i took up the issue with Kodak, who also did stuff all about it…
I ended up getting the photos redone at my local chemist, who did an excellent job, but at my own cost unfortunately…
Needless to say, I've never shopped at that store again…

Yeah certainly the wrong store mate. Very embarrassing going in and asking about their closing down sale to have them say "oh that's next door". Elizabeth Camera Centre
Just called them up. The guy had a bit of laugh when I told him "most stuff 50% off". He then clarified that 50% only applies to accessories. :).
So for those who are interested like me, just be aware that most cameras are probably not 50% off.
I've just given them a call, and they don't have any thing i am after on special. I asked in regards to wide angle lenses but nothing reduced in price. But they do have other items on sale. Worth checking them out.
Their special was 4$ off a Panasonic FZ40 vs DCW.
Didn't see any special tags on Sigma lenses.
