Hi all, interesting scenario.
So I took the plunge and decided to purchase an Evo+ Card from this seller:
https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/123257448995
Feedback seemed okay but it did seem a little cheaper than other sellers. So things I noticed were:
- The memory card has the inability to be formatted by Windows. I have tried an SD Card reader as well as placing the SD Card into a slot
- I am unable to write any data to the SD Card.
- The SD Card Read back emblem does not contain the Samsung emblem imprint compared to my genuine one.
- The packaging says made in Korea while the model number says 'CN' at the end, denoting China. The back of the actual SD Card says 'Made in Taiwan', and none of the model numbers shown on the packaging match.
- According to Samsung in this link: (https://us.community.samsung.com/t5/Memory-Storage/Counterfe…), the back of the memory card should state it is made in either Korea or the Philippines, not Taiwan.
- Downloading the following application (https://www.heise.de/download/product/h2testw-50539) to test the memory card, the program was unable to write the SD Card at all.

So Paypal got back to me quickly and asked me return the item for a refund, which I'm going to express post tommorow. Just wondering if it's run of the mill to do this as I can't seem to upload any photos until the seller responds. Bit shitty I have to pay return postage
From paypal:
